Everything was so calm, how could anything go so wrong in seconds. We were just sitting by the small toxic pound. Otto carving his stick and me doing absolutely nothing when this-this-RUDE LADY POPPED OUT OF THE BUSHES LIKE A DANG JUMPING SPIDER. I hate jumping spiders. They are evil. She smacked me over the head with a weapon or gun of some sort and then threatened to shoot Otto if he didn't drop the stick. Either this lady is paranoid or dumb, or both. I had watched her silently in fear, because I didn't know what to do. Two more of her friends had jumped out, one grabbed me and tied my hands behind my back, grabbing my small backpack. The other approached Otto slowly, grabbing the stick and his stuff after tying his hands. I really don't understand why any of this happened, but now we are sitting in a jail cell in an underground military base. Fun.
"RISE AND SHINE" the Commander screamed, early in the morning. Almost six am it seems. I groaned and sat up. Rubbing my sore skull. Otto was a little more bitter, and always protective of me, "Good morning to you Misses Sunshine." He growled lowly. She narrowed his eyes at him, ignoring that comment "I need your name and social security numbers, right NOW." She said and threw a notebook at us.
Truth is, I only found out my last name about a week before this disaster of a mission, and I have no idea what my social security number is. "What happens if we don't know our social security number?" Alfy asked quietly. She snarled a little "then you will be given a new one," she paused "or we will just execute you." She said bluntly and walked away.
Alfy looked up at Otto in fear, now he was scared. He didn't want to be executed, Otto rubbed his hand lightly, "Don't be scared, I have a plan" he said quietly. He had just finished writing his name and social security number, Ottoarius Incanto, 43872901.
Alfy nodded a little, taking the notebook from his and writing his name, Alfio Colleramore. "What do I write for Social Security number then..?" He asked quietly, looking up at his friend. Otto whispered in his ear, just incase someone was listening. "43872902, that way we are siblings, we'll say we never knew our last names, only our last names. We were both given to an adoption center anyways" he whispered quickly. Alfy nodded, writing the number, just like he had told him to.
When the 'Mean Lady', as Alfy called her behind her back, came back. She picked up the notebook and looked at the names. She stared at the last names and the numbers. Something in her mind was ticking. Things were falling apart and coming together. "What's your name anyways?" Otto asked, curious to who she even was, maybe he'd recognize the name. "That's none of your business." She muttered before leaving.
