// Well, here we are again. Exciting, isn't it? Time goes by so fast.
We spent years creating ourselves, as a band, and we had quite the "sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll" persona. The black and white, the leather, the self titled debut record. I look back and cringe a bit, but God, did we have a blast. And you were all there to see it.
Around the middle of 2015, we decided to reinvent. The color. The pastels. The flowers and neon signs, the long titled sophomore record. My long hair. My painted nails, my style. This was all something I'd dreamed of, but never thought I could pursue. In this track, titled the same as the album, there is a conversation between my old self and my new self.
When I think back to 2013 and 14, it was sort of a dark time. Not only for me, but for a lot of people. Old Matty held me hostage for a long time. But here recently, my real self has started to blossom. So, here I am, my guard has been let down.
