Chapter 5: Family reunion & CIA Assassins

I looked out of the car window as tessa ran out to the unfamilair car, drift.' I can do this...just my little sister whos 17 now and im 32 now...no big deal.' i thought to myself. i took in a deep breath and let it back out..."here goes nothin." i said aloud and opened the drivers side door and got out. Tessa didnt seem to know who i was...'of course she was 5 at the time dumbass,' my mind said as she called our father. I watched as he rushed out of the barn, his amazing workshop, and his eyes widen seeing me. "sammy is that you?" he asked running up and grabbing my arms gently. He must've thought i was dead since the military sent a letter about my husband dying and i wasnt with him.  i smiled and nodded. "yes dad its me your little sammy." i told him. i was then englufed in a hug by him and i was near tears.

Tessa had her arms crossed and a scowl on her face...she clearly didnt remember me. "Tess this is your big sister Sam, you may not remember her since she left to the army when you were 5 years old." he explained and she huffed. "how do i know she's my sister for real dad? for all we know she can be another impersinator!" tessa yelled and looked at me. "I for a fact know if shes my daughter Tessa, you and her look just like your mother." cade told her shaking his head. i wanted to intervien but i was approached by Tessa. "if you are my sister...why did you go join the army and not stay here with me, mom and dad." she asked. "I joined the army to keep us and our country safe...not for the fame fortune and honor. I joined for you, mom, dad, and the other families out there." I said and looked at the sky. "you are my sister. i asked you the same question (Yall can do the flipping math cuz, yo my math class is over with)the day you left...and you said 'I will come back...but not for the government...im coming back to you.'" she said and hugged me. then the flashback started.

it was a cold morning May 6th, 2000. my crying sister Tessa just asked if why i was leaving.'fame means nothing to me. you, mom, and dad do. i will return, i promise you that.' my husband cam over and patted my back. "sargent says time to go." he told me and i nodded. "please come back sissy. i love you." tessa said and huged me. "keep safe kiddo" Cade said and ruffled my short spiky hair. "Promise me that when you are out in the feild that you think of us as you fight." mom said and hugged me. i got on the plane and waved goodbye to my family. I can tell you one thing..i never cried as much, since i did that day.
