Halloween

I'm starting to get used to everything now. I just have to get used to the surroundings. Luckily today was Halloween, the perfect day to go walking around eating candy and telling scary stories with my friends. So we walked down to the nature trail in the woods.

As we were walking, we all got notifications from the mayor to remind us of the event that happened last year...

Good evening everyone, I hope you all are safely having fun. Some of you may know about the 3 children that disappeared in the woods last year around this time. I just want to remind the young ones who are probably in the woods now, to stay together. Thank you and Happy Halloween!

We completely paid no mind to this when one of my friends decided to go to the bathroom. It was deep into the woods. Me and my other friend (Maddie) were scared to go with her(Tiana) so she went alone.

Tiana's P.O.V

On my way to the bathroom I sensed a presence behind me. I got scared so I called Maddie but there was no reception. Just my luck. The woods were dark and creepy surrounded by tall trees and bushes. In the distance I saw a small cabin so I ran towards it hoping that Maddie and Gabrielle were there. I was two feet away from it when I heard a faint noise. It sounded like a little girl singing." one, two Annie's coming for you." I ran in the other direction, tripped on a rock and landed face first in the dirt. Then I started to cry. My head hurt, my feet ached, my stomach growled, and my throat was parched. This was the worst night ever.

I got up and found a tent just laying there in the middle of the woods. I set the tent upright and got inside. I found an almost empty Gatorade bottle and half a bag of chips. I lie there eating chips checking my phone for reception. Nope. I was so bored that I went to explore. I found cool rocks, saw a lot of moss, deer, and a huge ancient house. I couldn't believe my eyes. A house!! I ran to the porch but stopped. The roof was leaking, the porch sagged, The paint chipped ,and there was moss on the sides of the house. I thought I was crazy to go to a house in the woods but my gut was telling me that I should.

I came In and the floor creaked then the door slammed so hard that my ears rang. I tried to open the door but I couldn't. The door was locked. As I was desperately checking my phone for reception I got a text from Gabrielle. " Hey where are you we are looking all over for you. Please text back we're getting tired and we are not going to leave until we find you. We miss you. I felt so happy but all that changed when I heard the singing again. "Three , four I slammed the door" I ran Upstairs in to a raggedy old bedroom locked the door and replied to Gabrielle's text. Hey, Please help me. I'm so scared. I'm in a old three story house at the edge of the woods, please come soon.

I finally went to the bathroom and when I got out I felt the presence again but this time stronger. I got into bed and got a text from an unknown number. It said you are not alone in this house. I hid under the covers hoping, no, Praying that Maddie and Gabrielle came. In the room next door I heard a loud bang then a little children song play. I could not define the lyrics because a second later the song was all distorted. I heard the bang again and realized It wasn't coming from next door, Someone was knocking on the door. Before I can get It a little girl came into view. The girl was dressed in a little pink dress, a pink bow, white stockings, and white shoes.

she walked slowly towards me singing one two I'm coming for you. three, four I slammed the door. five six grab your crucifix. That's all I heard when Maddie and Gabrielle burst through the door. the girls head turned all the way around and a devilish look came across her face she transformed to an almost normal girl into a an old 200 year old witch. I stood there paralyzed but found the strength to run down the stairs next to Maddie and Gabrielle.

RUN!! I screamed but they did not, so I pushed them out the door and we ran as fast as we could. When we took a break next to a tree all we could think of was what if the girl comes back. We finally got up then looked behind us and there was the girl/witch we ran so fast out of the woods that when we came out I fainted.

When we got out of the house, the Mayor and a detective team were already doing their thing. I asked the mayor how he knew to come or if he heard us screaming and he said, "We've been here for 45 minutes now and haven't heard any screaming. We didn't even know anyone alive was inside. We just came to make sure no one came near this house and also to check and see if their was any evidence to help us with the search for those kids who disappeared last year." I just nodded and he obviously noticed the terror in our eyes so he offered us a ride to my house.
