School in LA

Later on that night, I told Tiana what happened and she was like,"Gabrielle I am so disappointed in you, why didn't you find more information out about the other boy he was with at the mall! Ugh!" Then we laughed it out and got our outfits laid out for the first day of school which was tomorrow! We wanted to stay up all night talking but my mom came in and said,"Stop with all that giggling yall got school tomorrow!" So we got into bed and stopped talking...instead we texted! But Tiana's phone brightness was up so high that when my mom walked back past my room to check on us, she saw us on our phones. She took both of our phones and put them on the charger in the basement. We finally went to sleep...

The Next Morning

When I woke up in the morning it was 5:30 and Tiana had already gotten in the shower so she was now waking me up so I could take mine. Of course I didn't want to wake up but with Tiana being my best friend she knew exactly what to say to get me up. "Gabrielle wake up it's 9 o'clock and school started and hour ago!" Without a phone to check the time and forgetting what a speccial occasion this was, I replied with , "Ok I don't care." I put the cover back over my head but as Tiana ripped it off of me she yelled, "Get up it's the first day of school!!!" After hearing that, I hopped out of bed and ran down the stairs to get my phone and brush my teeth. After I brushed my teeth I played What you mean by DaeDae and every Lil Uzi and Lucci song in my playlist while in the shower and getting dressed. When I was finished, Tiana and both our parents were waiting in the living room for me so we could get going. My mom went out first to start up the car then Tiana's mom. Me and Tiana were the last one's out because I had to lock the door. Walking to the car, Tiana said, "I know you like jamming out while you get ready or whatever but girl it was so loud both our parents could hear it and you know you played all explicit versions right?" We got in the car laughing for no reason the entire ride to school. Before we got out the car, we facetimed our dad's and caught up with them because they don't live in California.

When we finally got out of the car and walked to the school's entrance, we were constantly being stopped by people complementing us. We had to first go to advisory for 20 minutes to get our schedules. In advisory we met these girls named Lindsay, Amaya, and Dasia, they became our new friends and probably squad members. When we got our schedules, I saw that I had all classes with Tiana and Dasia. Amaya and Lindsay had most classes together and Lindsay had math with us.

While we were in advisory, we weren't really focused on anything else but us all talking about our summer breaks and all. So when we got to our first class, some of the people we saw didn't even look familiar. As I looked around we seemed to be the only people who had already made a group of friends...other than this one group of boys.....Guess who was in that group of boys sitting in the back of the class talking and looking around...The boy I talked to at the beach, Chris! And the boy Tiana was eyeing at the mall, I don't know his name. I hit Tiana's shoulder on the low like I always do and said look. She looked around the room and stopped at their table and smirked. Then out of nowhere she got up and walked over there! I was thinking about stopping her but was afraid that if I got up, he'd remember me...Wait what am I afraid of?
