Chapter 25...Hudson Mommy's Coming
(Danielle's P.O.V.)
The person's threat kept repeating in my mind. How would Dawson and I getting a divorce benefit anyone? I pulled out my phone to look back over the message. Then I was tempted.
(Listen up Asshole, if you harm my child I'll take you to hell myself. Now why must I divorce my husband?)
The text was immediately returned.
(Feisty, I like it! Because that's jus the way things have to be sweetheart. Oh and if you tell anyone why you have to divorce your husband. I won't just go after the first one. I'll make sure all your kids get it!)
His threat sent chills down my spine. Whoever this sick bastard is, I was to afraid to test him.
(Alright I'll do it! But you have to promise me you'll keep Hudson safe until then!)
(Alright, when the papers are signed, and are legal come to Pier Five, Baltimore Water Front. Chop! Chop!)
I turned off my phone wanting to throw it up against the wall. How could my life change so quickly? It was like Karma had it out for me.
"Dani, are you okay?" Dawson stated running into the room. He looked like he had ran all the way here.
I just looked up at him. I knew what I had to do and it wasn't going to be pretty.
"Dawson, I'm tired," I stated trying not to let my voice break.
"Honey, go home and rest, I'll stay here with the twins," Dawson stated really worried. I felt a tear fall from my face.
"No, Dawson I'm tired of us!" I cried.
"Tired of us? What the hell do you mean tired of us?" Dawson shouted.
"I mean, that I want I divorce!" I shouted.
"Danielle, baby have you lost your mind?" He sighed coming to hug me.
"Dawson don't touch me," I flinched. He just looked at me shocked. "I want a divorce, and I want it now!"
"Danielle, let's talk about this, rationally," he stated.
"Dawson I don't want to talk about it, I want a divorce!" I shouted tears falling down my face.
"Fine!" Dawson stated frustrated. He stormed out of the hospital room. When he was gone the tears started falling. I looked down at my babies sleeping.
"I promise babies everything will be alright," I cried.
(Dawson's P.O.V.)
Something was up. Danielle was talking crazy nonsense. She knows how I feel about divorce. What would make her want a divorce, heck I knew things were crazy, but I didn't think they were bad. I needed at drink. About that time my phone rang. I answered it hoping it was Danielle.
"Danielle?" I asked.
"No, son it's your father," my dad stated. "I just thought I'd give you a update on the search."
"Yeah? Anything knew?" I asked.
"Other than a witness saying that they saw a blonde woman get into a black truck, and speed out of the park, than no," he replied.
"Alright, thanks," I replied sighing and rubbing my forehead.
"No problem son," he sighed. "We'll find him."
"I know, hey dad can you do me a favor?" I asked.
"Yeah, what do you need," he asked.
"Can you fill out a divorce form for Danielle and I?" I asked. "I don't have the time, or the desire to talk about it, can you please just do it?" I wanted to hit something.
"Fine, Dawson I'll get right to it," he stated and then the line went dead.
(Danielle's P.O.V.)
It was late that night when Dawson made his second appearance for the day. He was wobbling, and I knew he'd been drinking. His hair was a mess, and he smelled of alcohol.
"Dawson what are you doing here?" I asked annoyed. He stumbled near me.
"I came here to give you this!" He slurred handing me an envelope. I grabbed the envelope and opened it. I cried as I realized what the papers where.
"All you have to do is sign and it's over. Everything that we stood for down the tubes," he sighed. I looked into his eyes, and they were hopeless. I knew that after this was all over Dawson was going to hate me for the rest of my life. But I was doing it to save our little boy.
"I love you Dawson," I stated and then I signed the papers. It was all over.
(Dawson's P.O.V.)
I couldn't believe she signed the papers just like that. No thought or feeling. As I was walking out of the hospital, I saw Danielle hail a taxi. Against my better judgement I decided to follow her. I don't know it was probably just the booze talking.
When she got out at the pier I called Owen, and Matthew. I wanted back up this looked bad. I didn't like it.
"Hey, Matt, get your butt to Pier Five, Baltimore Water Front. Your sister's down here, and it's sketchy as hell," I stated.
"Man, I'm on my way," he replied.
"Alight, man hurry," I replied then turned off my phone.
Danielle what are you doing here?
I was racking my brain when I saw two figures walk out of a boat. I couldn't believe my eyes. They had Hudson.
How did Danielle know that?
The man removed his mask, and then I was shocked, and my blood began to boil all over. It also took everything I had not to get out of the car.
(??? P.O.V.)
I saw her walk up the pier. She was still beautiful as ever. Even after all these years she was a beautiful angel.
"What do we do with the kid?" Sheila asked putting on her mask.
"What the hell do you think we do? We hide him until she proves to use she divorced the S.O.B." I replied also putting on my mask.
"Remind me what's in it for me?" She asked curious.
"With Danielle out of the picture, Dawson will be on the rebound, and all yours," I replied. She must have like what she heard because she grabbed Hudson, walked outside the boat. "Be ready here she comes."
