Adopted by Them?!

Chapter 20: Grounded

(Maggie's POV)

I woke up to be freezing cold, it was still dark out too. I looked and noticed my sweatshirt was off so I was just in a t- shirt. I was still in Liam's living room and so was the rest of the boys. I noticed Niall in the recliner chair, wait, he's using my sweatshirt as a blanket! I sat up from the coach and pulled my sweatshirt right off of Niall, he actually looked pretty cute when he slept to be honest. I put my sweatshirt back on and fell back asleep on the coach, since everyone else is asleep they can't do anything  to hurt me so I might as well get some sleep in.

I woke up yet again freezing, I sat up and looked over at Niall. He was using my jacket as a blanket, again. I sighed and got up, then, grabbed my sweatshirt back. I sat back on the coach and fell asleep again.

After waking up freezing cold and noticing Niall had my sweatshirt 5 times I decided to wake him up and tell him it was MY jacket to use.

I walked over to Niall and shook him up, he groaned. I tried to pull away my sweatshirt but Niall held onto it.

"Niall!" I whisper yelled.

"Give me my jacket back." I commanded.

Niall grunted.

"Niall!"

"I'm cold though." Niall whined quietly.

"Niall." I whined." It's my jacket."

I tried to pull on my jacket but Niall just tugged it back so hard that I fell on the coach he was sitting on. Niall covered his mouth with his hand and laughed a little. I sat up on the coach and glared at Niall, he laughed a bit more.

"Niall, give me my sweatshirt back." I commanded.

Niall shook his head 'no', I tried to pull my jacket again but Niall wouldn't budge. I rolled my eyes.

"Niall pleeeeaaasseeee." I pleaded.

Niall still shook his head.

"I'm not wasting my time trying to get my sweatshirt back when I could be sleeping soundly." I said annoyed.

"Okay, then go back on your coach and fall asleep." Niall replied.

"Not until I have my jacket." I said.

Niall shook his head, again, I got comfortable in the recliner chair and pulled my jacket over me as if it were a blanket. I was too tired to do anything, like get up. I just wanted sleep, I haven't gotten a full night of sleep in awhile. I rested my eyes, hoping Niall wouldn't do anything to hurt me. Oh who am I kidding? Niall? Hurt somebody? Okay maybe Louis, Harry or Liam, but Niall?

I laughed to myself.

Then darkness took over yet again, as I fell back asleep.

(Louis POV)

I woke up laying down on one of Liam's coaches. I know it's the middle of the night because it's still pretty dark out. I looked over at Niall and Maggie. Awwww, it's like when you see a puppy and a kitten sleeping together. Maggie's head was rested on Niall's shoulder, and Niall's head was rested on Maggie's head. I didn't even know Maggie was in the same chair as Niall, but they were sharing Maggie's sweatshirt and using it as a blanket.

I didn't want Liam to wake up and notice all of us it's fell asleep in his flat, so, I decided to get up and go back to my flat. But first I'll just do Liam a little favor and turn off the TV and the lights.

(Maggie's POV)

"I knew you'd fall right into it." Tom laughed.

I stood there, shaking, I knew I couldn't trust Louis or any of the boys.

"Now, I can finally finish what I wanted to do." Tom said.

Louis looked over at me and laughed.

Why can't I just live a normal life?

I woke up gasping, as usual I had another nightmare, except for the fact that it was all true. Except for the Louis part.

I noticed that the TV was off and so were some of the lights. I got up slowly, trying to to wake up Niall. I swear that boy sleeps like a bunny. Now that everyone is asleep, I think I should attempt to run away again. I know what you're thinking, why am I always running away? Well, because if I run away I could get back to the orphanage, and if I get back to the orphanage I get to see Tori.

I walked very slowly to the door and opened it, I held my breath when I cracked the door open because I was afraid it would make this noise that would wake someone up.

Once the door was fully open I took my first step out, I sighed in relief . I was too tired and weak to run so I was JIST walking.

"Maggie?"

I held onto my breath, great, I woke someone up. You know what? There's always a catch isn't there? Something always has to happen to me, it'll all be fine, but then I'll just find a way to make it worse.

I quickly flinched back.

"Maggie, why do you keep running? Niall already told me you tried to run earlier today, but I'm not just gonna give up on you like that." Louis said.

I'm pretty scared right now, I mean I kind of shaking. I don't know what he's going to do to me.

"Louis why do you think I'm running? To go get some ice cream at the parlor?" I said sarcastically.

"But Maggie I thought you started to trust me." Louis replied.

"Louis I-I." Then my mind trailed off the the letter. "I can't trust you."

"Maggie you can't just run away whenever you please." Louis told me.

"It's just Louis, it's hard not to." I said.

"Louis?" I asked.

"Yeah?"

"Why didn't you adopt Tori?" I asked.

"Maybe another time." Louis answered.

"Maggie, I'm sorry but you're grounded." He added

I sighed.

"Louis you know I have a reason for for running away." I explained.

"Yea, Maggie I just wanted to let you know that we didn't adopt you to take you away from Tori. I wanted to help you, and I still do." Louis explained.

"Yea, I know."

Tonight looks like another long night.

//GUYS IM SO SORRY FOR BEING INACTIVE!!! But yay it's chapter 20!! Sorry this wasn't a long chapter 20 like my other story, but I decided not to make it long because it just took me SO long to get this chapter up. Sorry for the kind of long authors note.
