Eventually, we all went downstairs.
Now we're all are gathered around a table listening to Jesus.
I tuned out the conversation not really caring what he had to say.
He can't be that important.

"Look we got off to a bad start." Jesus says as he turns to Daryl "But we're on the same side. The living side.  You guys could've left me out there, but you didn't." Jesus pauses then continues " I'm from a place that's a lot like this one. I'm supposed to search out other communities to trade with. I took your truck because our community needs things and both of you looked like trouble. I was wrong. You're good people and this is a good place.  I think we could help each other."

"Do you have food? " Rick asks him.
"We scavenge, we have started to raise livestock." Jesus responds.
"Tell us why we should believe you." Daryl says.

"I can take you to my community and you can see for yourself." Jesus says

"You said you need more groups to trade with, so are you already trading with other groups? " Maggie asks.

Jesus laughs "Your world's about to get a whole lot bigger. "

Carl and I are standing at the back of the truck when Rick walks up with Judith in his arms.

"I was going to tell you about me and Michonne, but it just happened. It JUST happened." he said putting emphasis on just.

"It's cool,  dad. " Carl said with a slight smile.
"Get your stuff, Gabriel can take care of Judith." Rick says.
"I'm not going. Someone needs to watch this place and a kid with a messed up face wouldn't make a good first impression anyways." Carl says
Rick looks at Carl and hands him Judith.
"Alex,  you can stay back with Carl." Rick says.
"But-" I attempt to say something but get cut off.
"We'll be back soon. " Rick says as he walks away.

"Do you trust him?" Carl asks as he turns towards me.
"Trust who?" I ask
"That Jesus guy, do you think he really has a community?" He asks
"I hope so or else someone will most likely end up dead, his side or ours." I say.

I start to walk and Carl follows.
"I hope this turns out okay." I say
"It will, hopefully." Carl says.

"It's just this seems to good to be real and when something just happens like this usually something bads going to come with it." I say starting to get worried about the group. "I should've gone with them."

"And left me to take care of Judith by myself? No way and plus I don't think Rick was going to let you go anyways." He says.

"Yeah I could tell but I can handle myself fine." I say

"I think he just doesn't want anything bad to happen." Carl says

"He wanted you to go and not me. I've never messed up a run when I've gone on one but he won't take me on this." I say getting angry.

"I think this is a lot more important then a run, Alex, this is a big deal. He didn't want this chance to get messed up." Carl says.

"Are you saying I can't handle important stuff?  That I'd mess it up?" I say angryily.

"Alex, I'm just saying this is a big deal to him and to the group and he probably didn't want anything to go wrong!" Carl says slightly raising his voice. "Stop overreacting so much maybe that's why he didn't take you because you're annoying."

I feel my heart sink as he finishes his sentence.
"Like you're not annoying. You think your such a badass but you're just asshole." I say "If it's such a big deal then why would he chose the kid with one eye over me?" I say.

As soon as I say that I instantly regret it.
Carl just looks at me.

"I'm sorry." I say as I turn around and leave before he can say anything.
