Chapter IV

First Feelings

R oxy went to get Narelli from the house.

When they got to the 'Unusal,' Roxy said, "Wouldn't your father care about our safety?" as she looked around.

"I'm worried about our health," Narelli said with a laugh.

When they got to the deck, to their astoniskment, it was cleaner then they thought it would be.

A big man took their luggage and showed them where they were staying. Then they came back to the deck to find that they had already left port.

Most of the men, who were working on the ship, looked like pirates.

Narelli got a funny feeling. So she desighted to go, with Roxy, ask the captain when they will reach their destination.

They walked over to where the captain's cabin was and Roxy knocked on the door.

The captain wasn't as scary as the other men were and he looked to be about forty or so.

"Captain we want to when we will reach Florida?" Narelli asked.

"Florida? Why would we be going to Florida? We are going to Tybet," replied the Captain.

"When are we to get to the next port?"

"In a couple of days, but we will be in Galloway so it would be hard for you to get back."

       "Thank you."

They left the room to the deck.

"Narelli what are we going to do we are on the wrong ship?" Roxy asked.

A guy apeared below and started walking towards them.

"You!" Roxy yelled at him, "You told me this was the 'Unusal.'"

The boy smiled, "Madam, I am pleased you could join us, Roxanna."

Roxy was about to say something but stopped, "I never gave you my name."

"No, you didn't. But there is other ways of finding out things."

"How did you get her name?" Narelli asked.

"That, my dear Narelli, is a long story."

"We got at least a week on this dumb ship," said Narelli

        He smiled again.

"If you want to know the whole story come see Dabir," he said as he held out his hand to Narelli, which she took, "By the way, my name is Benjamin."

He lead them to a cabin and knocked on the door.

       "Come in, Ben."

Benjamin, Narelli, and Roxanna were talking at the front of the ship.

"So where's the fourth one?" Narelli asked Ben.

"He heard that Roxy was coming so he went bellow to  make himself handsom," Ben answered with a smile.

At the same time he was saying that, who less than, the fourth one, Manuel, came out from the underdeck. Looking very good, too.

"I have to live here with Manuel for a week?!" yelled Narelli.

"What, you guys don't like each other?" Ben asked.

"No!" they said all together, for even Roxy knew.

After they had calmed down, Narelli asked, "So, if Roxy is the kind one, Manuel is the bosy one, what are we?"

"Well, you're skillful and I am a little of everything," answered Ben.

"Do you mean like graceful things like dancing?" asked Manuel, who was mad at Narelli for the coment she had made.

"Yes," said Ben with a puzzled look on his face.

Then Roxy and Manuel burst out laughting, and Narelli blushed.

"Whatever I said, I take it back," said Ben with a sorry smile to Narelli.

"Narelli can't even dance. I should know. I was crazy enough to ask her to dance," Manuel said, and more laughter followed.

"Not just dancing, but swordfighting. Narelii come here," Ben said just as he got two swords, and gave one to Narelli.

At first it seemed that Ben was going to win the fight, even though he was barely trying to win. But then Narelli kicked him in the shin, which made him stop fighting for a sec, and pushed him down to sit on him. With her sword against his neck.

They both stayed like that, staring into each other's eyes and rigt then it was like they were the only people there.

"Seems like a lot of people like to sit on me," he said, which made Narelli blush and get off him.

"Anyway where were we? Oh, yes, I remember," he contiued. The next comment was for Manuel, "Who taught you manners? Don't you know it's rude to make fun of a girl? No madder if she steps on your feet."

After a while Manuel and Roxy left Ben and Narelli to go to bed.

"If you want, I can give you leasons on feindcing?" he said in a question.

       "Sure, how 'bout now?"

       "Not today, but maybe tomorrow."

Then Ben led them to her room and whished her good night.

In bed she thought about him and relized that she liked him. Not the way she liked some of the guys back home, but more... real.
