Chapter X

Pirates

After a few days, Ben didn't even need to teach Narelli anything. They were in Galloway, but not at Tybet. So their minds and body were better than they were on earth. The only down side is that they were still at sea.

Manuel and Roxanna had been getting closer every day. She even was telling him and Narelli about Brendon, when Benjamin ran into the room.

"We got trouble," he said as soon they looked up at him.

"Roxy stay here, I'll be right back," Narelli said, "I'll tell you what's happening."

When Narelli came onto the deck, she looked out to the sea and saw a pirate ship.

Ben was yelling to the captain and Manuel was getting Dabir, but when he saw Narelli he ran over to her. "You shouldn't be up here," he said.

"I am a better swordsman than you are," she replied, "So why should you be up here and not me."

"If a pirate sees a girl they will- I'm not even going to tell you. You'll just have to find out for yourself."

"You make no sense, but just wait I have a plan."

Narelli ran and told Roxanna her idea, which Roxy said was a good plan.

Narelli was on the pirate ship and was trying to find the captain, to ask him what he wanted.

She hid in the shadows, while she crept to the captain's cabin.

When she got there, it was empty. She wrote a note on the desk, and quickly hid behind the door.

The door opened, she saw a man come through the doorway and read the note.

Narelli shut the door.

"I think we have some business to take care of," she said still behind the door.

"I think you're very foolish," he said as he turned around.

He wasn't that big, and he was very tan. He had a black cape, his shirt was blue with a lot of awards that were gold, his pants were black, and he had a sword on his belt.

Narelli knew that he thought she was a boy. She had put all her hair in a cap and had a hooded cape on.

"I don't think you want to talk," she said as he drew his sword.

The man lunged at Narelli and she paraded him. He swung at her head; she ducked in return and cut off some of his awards.

"He who exalts himself will be exalted will be humbled and he who humbles himself will be exalted," she said.

He swore, and pushed her down.

Narelli jumped up and kicked his right knee, and swung her sword at his wrist.

He dropped his sword and grabbed his wrist.

Narelli grabbed his sword.

"Now what do you want?" he asked looking up at her.

"Why are you stopping the 'Flying Eagle,'" she questioned.

"We are just taking a passenger from your ship."

"Who?"

"Your captain," he said, "Now it's my turn, who are you?"

"I am princess Narelli," she said as she took off her cap, letting her hair hang down.

"There are no princesses here in Galloway, just a prince," he replied.

"I am a princess and I am going to over throw Jasper."

"Good luck with that, princess. But now I must ask you to take leave," he said pointing towards the door.

Narelli told Ben, Manuel, and Roxy what happened.

"Don't ever do that again without telling me or the captain," said Ben.

"You are, kind of, the captain," said Manuel.

"We should probably get to bed," said Roxy.

Benjamin ran to the captain's cabin, while Narelli stayed out, Manuel and Roxanna went to bed.

Narelli was just about to go to bed, when Ben came up behind her.

He stared out into the setting sun, and said, "It's amazing."

"What?" she asked.

"How much we have to lose to get something we really want. And how many crazy things Dabir is making us do."

"It can't be so bad."

"It's not. I met you," he said smiling at her.

"Why don't you like Dabir?"

"Dabir use to be one of my favorite people in Galloway. But then he never told me about my parents, who were killed by Saddam the pirate king. Those kind of things mean something to you. And when people, you love, don't tell you something that important, it hurts."

"Yeah...."

"Let's get to bed."

*

Not only were they going to bed but someone else was to. A pirate boy.
