Layla could feel Tyler's hands through the flowing material of her gown. They were gentle but strong. She could tell were he had clauses yet they were so soft. He was perfect. "So about the weather." Tyler said. He was so awkward but Layla could care less. She was distracted by how well his shirt fit defining every muscle in his body. "It's amazing."she stuttered.

The stars glimmered in the sky above. "Tonight was great..." Layla said still not processing fully. "Ya it was." Tyler said in a shaky voice. A honk came from behind the couple. "Get in loser!" Tyler's friends were shouting from a Jeep Wrangler. "Thanks for being a great friend Layla!" Tyler called behind him as the car of boys speed off. Layla paused her night just took a turn. Did she just get friend zoned? Terribly upset Layla started searching the crowd of people for Alice and her other friends.

Tears were flowing like Niagara Falls down Layla's face. Did Layla Saint really just get friend zoned? It had happened to her on multiple occasions, but never once had it affected her as bad as this one. She sat in the back seat of her sweaty, unpleasant car unbuckled sprawled across the bench seat. As much as Layla hated Alice's driving she has allowed it since there was no way she was in the mind set to drive. "I really thought we had something!" Layla sobbed. "Ya I know hun." Alice responded in a sympathetic yet sarcastic tone of voice. Now frustrated rather then sad Layla snapped "why does all the shitty stuff happen to me" Alice looked back at her best friend not surprised by her anger.
The rest of the car ride was silent with an exception on some slight sobs.

When the two arrived at Alice's Layla seemed fine. Although the upsetting yet pleasant night had really taken a toll on Layla's hopes she was still determined that she and Tyler Fitzgerald still had a chance at love.
