Chapter 11, Amber
I heard the sound of footsteps and I shot up in bed. I had been dreaming of Jacob and vampires, and none of it made sense. I threw my legs over the side of the bed and walked into the hallway.
"Jake, you still here?" I called into the hall. I had a bad feeling that it wasn't Jacob, but I wasn't sure what I would do if it was true.
"You met a new guy already, baby? I'm hurt!" a voice hissed in my ear. I screamed.
"Matt, what the hell are you doing here? How did you find me?" I asked my ex husband. He was standing less than five feet next to me. He eyed me like a piece of meat, but what was any different? His eyes were cold, and an odd dark red color. Contacts?
"You didn't miss me even a little bit, my pet?" he asked, stepping closer.
"Get away from me. I left to get away from you. What do you want from me? I let you keep everything in the divorce.
"I missed you, baby. I missed your scent. Your...taste." he stepped closer and grabbed my wrists in a familiar manner. He pulled my arms up with one hand and placed the other on the top of my head. "Now sit." he commanded, pressing down hard on the top of my head.
I dropped to my knees, following his orders like I always did. I was always more of a pet to him, a plaything instead of a wife. He pressed his mouth to my throat and ran his tongue across my skin. It felt wrong. I thought of Jacob, and tears welled in my eyes.
"Now now, don't ruin this for me, baby. You're taking all the fun out of our game. Now apologize." He slammed me against the wall, my head ricocheting off of the brick. The room started spinning and I felt blood pooling in my hair.
"I'm s-sorry." I whispered. He growled and slammed me against the wall again. I felt the weak bone in my wrist snap.
"Sorry what, you dumb bitch?!" he snarled.
"Sorry Sir!" I screamed against the pain. He threw me to the side and growled. I felt one of my ribs crack at the force.
"Still a stupid useless slut, like always." he hissed at me, running a hand through his hair. He turned slightly toward my front door, then back to me. "Now, I've got a special job for you tonight, baby. A few friends of mine are going to come by and visit. Get a taste of the sweetness I've been telling them all about." He stepped forward and ran a hand through my hair. He pulled bloody fingers back and sucked them into his mouth. He moaned from the taste, and I groaned from the pain.
He picked me up then by my throat and held me against the wall. The sound of a wolf howling could be heard from somewhere in the distance. His eyes suddenly turned their familiar blue.
"I'll be back for you soon, baby. You can count on it." he whispered before pressing his lips to my throat and biting down. I cried out as he broke the skin and ran his tongue along the cut. He moaned into my neck before throwing me across the room and disappearing.
I shakily got to my feet, but fell back to my knees. I had to get up. I was bleeding bad, I could tell. There was a police officer right across the street. He would have to help me, right? I stood again, leaning against the wall as I dragged myself toward the door. I opened my front door and walked into the street as quickly as I could. I stopped in my tracks as three huge wolves barrelled across my back lawn from the woods. I stopped and my eyes widened. One of them ran forward and looked at me with the saddest chocolate brown eyes.
"J-Jacob?" I whispered. Suddenly everything went black.
Yay, I fixed it! When I moved this from Quizilla years ago, it got all chopped up! But I am fixing it as quickly as I can, because people apparently really want to know what happened to Amber! I will try and update as fast as possible, but I have two other FFs and my original fiction, which is getting published!
