HIDING THE SECRETS
PERRIE

Trying to convince my mother it was a smart idea to move was just as hard trying to convince my mother I'm okay now.

"I don't know why you're putting yourself through this stress."

"You're there all by yourself. Of course I'll worry."

"Do you expect me to be home all of my life? I just need space and time."

"Perrie, I'm just looking out for you." She sighed.

"You know if anything goes wrong, I will tell you. I just got here. I still have to meet people." I reassured her.

"Very well. I'll stop stressing out." She said more enthusiastically.

''Thank goodness.'' I whispered so she wont hear.

"I hope that you won't be running home here in a month telling me that you moving was an awful idea. I'll feel awful telling you so."

I chuckled as she started on her rant.

"I have to go darling, I'll call you later on." she sent a virtual kiss through the phone and I hesitated to send one back.

As soon as I put away my phone, I started pacing back and forth, not knowing what to unpack first. This was so difficult. Unpacking was probably the most dreadful thing I will encounter. I decided to start on my clothes. Something I need to get done quick.

I carried the box, walking across the hall to the master bedroom. The bedroom was a good size. It had tall ceilings and enough room for my queen bed. The closet was massive. It was neatly constructed with wooden built in shelfs and drawers.

This is all the space i need.

☾...☽

I looked around in my closet, satisfied. My closet looked like a vivid rainbow on one side, but looked like a saddened little girl on the other. Really depends on my mood.

I walked out to my window seat, showing a beautiful view of The Gladwill Forest. It was known here in Bradford for good memories but bad feelings. It was a widespread land that went on for miles. The things beyond the forest interest me but scare me.

The only unusual thing to me is that there is a bridge the starts by the streets, but becomes a dead end. I was truly interested in that forest and why it was now deserted, but I didn't put much thought into it.

I got up and just went to the kitchen trying to organize as much as I can, until I heard a knock on the door and ran to it instanly. I don't know anyone who lives here, so I wonder who would like to see me.

I opened the door and there showed was 3 excited girls, with the biggest grins. I followed their smile to be polite.

"Hello!" One said with dark brown hair that was in a curly-fro.

"I'm Leigh-anne!" She squealed and took her hand for me to shake. I gladly took it and responded.

"I'm Perrie." I smiled at all of them.

"We're your neighbors" Leigh-Anne smiled and looked over to the other girls, who were just as excited.

"I'm Jade!" She gave me hug, which I didn't mind.

"I'm Jesy." She took out her hand with a grin.

"You must be quite busy with those boxes, so we thought we'll help you out!" Leigh-Anne said.

"You don't have too, really"

"We insist" Jade said, walking past me. Well I don't mind a little help.

They all came in and started to unpack things. Jade was in control of the things in the living room that wasn't major at all, Leigh-Anne was part of the kitchen with me, and then Jesy helped me with little knick knacks.

"So what brings you to Bradford?" Jesy ask, going through my hats.

"I moved here from South Sheilds for a new life. You can say" I told them as I threw the forks in the drawer.

"I'm from South Sheilds too!" Jade squealed, almost tripping herself.

I giggled and nodded at her at entertainment.

Leigh-Anne came over and looked at my fridge.

"The terrible thing about moving in from a different part of the country is that you can't take food with you. " She frowned while seeing there was absolutely nothing in my fridge.

"Tell me about it" I sat down on the floor. My kitchen was wide an open so they all joined and we all shared some gum that I had.

"When does your furniture get here?" Jesy asked, taking another price of gum.

"In 3 days" I sighed.

"Well that sucks" They all pouted.

I soon started to get hungry while thinking of a way to repay them.

"Hey guys? Wanna go get something to eat? It's On me since you guys helped my unpacking. You can tell I'm hungry" I smiled.

"I don't mind a little treat" Jesy said while standing up, picking Jade with her.

"Let's go then" Jade and Leigh-Anne said at the same time. They gave each other a weird look but then quickly smiled.

We all laughed and headed out the door.

Maybe moving here was the greatest idea in mind.
