☾HIDING THE SECRETS☽
ZAYNI had to stay in the cabin for Two days, making sure I wasn't going to get killed. Every single problem had to do with my past, because I was a screw up.
Charlie has called a few times but I never bothered to answer. While I was here, all I could think about was Perrie.
Why did they have to come here and start their trouble right when someone bothered to talk to me?
Maybe they want her, maybe they don't want me to talk to her. They always have a way into getting inside my life, maybe that's why.
That got me straight up and I quickly stood up and went straight for my car, heading towards Perrie's house.
☾...☽
Finally I reached Perrie's house and she was still asleep. I was already there for 10 minutes knocking and ringing the doorbell.
Suddenly she just opened the door, right before I was about to leave. She was standing with her blonde hair in a bun wearing all grey. God, she looked so depressed.
"Zayn?"
"Yeah, Hi Perrie."
She smiled and leaned against the door.
"So, what do you want?" She smiled.
"Um, I,"
"I need to take you somewhere, I'll promise to explain in the car, but It would be quick."
She raised her eyebrow and crossed her arms.
"Zayn, is there anything going on? If yes, why I'm I involved?"
I gulped and just repeated the same thing.
"Please, Perrie, I'll explain in the car."
After she went to go get a few things, she went inside my car.
I pulled out of her parking space and headed out for the cabin.
"Zayn, can you—" She looked at me nervously.
"Can you tell me, the truth about you and the FBI situation everyone told me about?"
I gulped and took a sharp turn heading towards the bridge.
"I want you to know, that people can get dramatic about what happened. Please don't let this change the way you feel for me."
She didn't say a word.
"Well, I was part of the FBI agency back in America. Yes, my partner died during my watch. But that's the story everyone knows. That says nothing about me. Now, what I'm about to tell you is the part that no one knows."
She nodded and leaned back.
"I was part of a drug cartel before I was a FBI agent. It was all run by a guy that was called Demolio. No one was sure why he was called that but at the time, no one cared."
She looked at me with a angry expression.
"Anyway, I soon left the drug business because it wasn't doing any good either way you see it. The FBI didn't think a criminal should join the agency but I guess they needed me in the Drug Cartel cases." I finally reached the bridge. Perrie looked at me with a confused look.
The bridge's other end was ended by the entry way of the forest, but she didn't know that we can go through. I quickly went inside making sure that no one saw my car go through the woods entry.
"But ever since I left Demolio's cartel, he's been after everyone I know. I don't know why, but he knows everything. He always chooses weird timing to try to bring me back or kill me, but I always get away. The problem is every time I went into hiding, I never really talked to any one. No one ever talked to me because I was once in the British news and American news, so they found out what they assumed I did."
I was so close to the cabin, which I didn't want to be. Perrie was angry with me. Angry that I brought her into this mess. I didn't want to deal with it as much as it is my fault.
I finally parked into the driveway but Perrie quickly got out and went inside the cabin without looking at me.
