Chapter 1-pushing boundries

It was Friday afternoon and here I was in wolf form walking along our packs border. I was assigned to patrol till seven this evening then someone would take over my post. Thank god my best friend Ivy was here with me.

'Anything?' I asked through the mind link.

'No' she sighed.

'Then come over here.'

I soon saw her dark brown wolf trotting towards my white and grey one. We decided to play fight for a bit.

'Avery I need you to come home quickly I would like to talk to you' my dad said using his alpha tone.

'Yes dad' I sighed.

My dad is the alpha of our pack, the Blue moon pack. I ran back to the pack house, some members lived here and others had their own houses. I on the other hand lived here for my entire life. As I got to the edge of the forest I changed back into human form. I donned on a pair of shorts and white tank top hidden behind some trees.

"Coming dad," I yelled as I walked into the house.

I walked into the lounge and saw my brother Ethan and his friend Tanner playing Xbox.

"Hey Avery," Ethan said.

"Hey Eth."

Ethan is my older brother and also the future alpha. At 18 he's about 6,3 feet tall, has dark brown hair and grayish eyes. He has a muscular build as well. Everything about my brother is perfect. His looks, his grades, his personality and how he acts.

"What I don't get a 'hello'! I'm offended Avery" Tanner said putting his hand on his heart.

Tanner my brother's best friend and the next beta. He round about the same height as Ethan, has sandy brown hair the same as his wolf's fur, chocolate eyes and is slightly more built. He's also a player, been with more than half the girls at school, except me. My brother has said I am off limits and if he dare touches me, he can say good bye to his manhood.

"Tanner!" I yelled and jumped on him, hugging him tightly.

"Aahhhhh no I'm going to lose! Ethan help me!" He cried.

Ethan was laughing his asks off.

"No man fend for yourself," he laughed harder.

"Avery!" My dad was getting impatient.

That got me off him in seconds.

"Coming," I yelled,"see ya later boys."

"Hurry hurry, before he get really mad," Ethan said.

I stuck my tongue out at him and walked to my dad's office. He sat behind his desk, papers scattered around him along with a few coffee mugs. He looked pale and worn out.

"Dad when was the last time you ate?" I asked sitting on the chair on the opposite side of his desk.

He looked up from the papers, "Ummmmmmm?"

"Dad you can't keep doing this. It's not healthy."

"Sweetie I'm fine, I can look after myself. First I have to make sure everything is perfect for the Golden moon pack's arrival,"he said.

I rolled my eyes at him, he was never like this when another pack came to visit. Well he did like to be organized but not over the top like this time.

"Dad don't you think your taking this too far?"

"Avery you don't understand, we need to impress them," he said sternly.
