I sat cross legged on the floor, technically I sat on a cushion but you get my drift. Salem sat opposite me and Raven to my right. My dear hybrid friend had so cleverly opted for me to go first, since it was my first reading as she so put it.

Heck I was so nervous, my palms were sweaty, I think I might have pit stains and I'm positive I'm sweating in places I didn't even know I could sweat in. Seeing my future scared me. I looked around the room for a distraction but every where I looked there was witchy stuff. Potions, books, pots and even a cat. We were in some room where Salem did anything witch related in.

"Avery you need to clear your mind and calm yourself. There is nothing to be afraid of, I can only give you a feeling or advice on what I see. I don't even see images when I do this," Salem explained.

I sighed in relief and nodded to show I understood.

"Give me you hand," she instructed.

I place my hand in her already open ones. There were soft, warm and really tanned. Raven explained that she's Portuguese, so it's natural. Add her thick dark brown hair, dark chocolate eyes and her incredible height. This girl was it, she walked with elegance and had practically no flaw. Even they was she spoke was perfect. So confident and comforting.

"Close your eyes and relax."

I did as requested and let my mind go blank. I started concerned treating on my breathing and finally counting each breath.

"You can open your eyes now," she said.

My eyes opened and met hers.

"So?" I asked.

"Well in your past you expected a lot and that led you to a decision that crunched people you love. Your future seems promising, happiness and something you desire; love," she said.

I gasped, so there was hope that I'd fall in love.

"Your present is interesting, you're about to make a life changing choice and someone is going to make a choice that will effect you."

"Thank you," I said and moved so Raven could go next.

Salem repeated the process taking a little longer than me though.

"Aaaahhh Raven you know I love giving you readings because every time it changes but this time it's quite unexpected," she said frowning.

A flash of worry went through Raven's eyes.

"Your past was horrible I can see that once a werewolf, now a hybrid. Present is odd, you are conflicted and I can see a speck of love. Your future undecided but it looks like you'll finally be at peace."

Raven looked surprised,"This is one I've never heard before."

Raven had a back story, I knew that and respected that she didn't feel like sharing. From what I got in bits and pieces it was awful, she's hinted at being raped and beaten but no details spared.

"How about something to drink?" Salem offered.

I looked at Raven who gave me the 'I'll deal with it' look.

"Thank you but no thank you Salem. We must be going, our next stop is far and I'd like to be there before sundown," she explained.

"I understand. It was nice to see you again Raven, even though a short visit," Salem said and hugged her tightly.
