Chase's POV
I never cry. Not for anyone or anything but after Avery left me, the tears left my eyes uncontrollably. God I was a dick to her, if only I could go back and change how I acted. I had no more tears but I didn't want to move so I just stared out to the horizon even the setting sun reminded me of her.
Sometime later, much later, Ethan came looking for me.
"Hey dude have you seen Avery?" He asked.
As he mentioned her name I started crying again.
"Whoa man what's up? You and Avery have a fight?"
I shook my head no, unable to speak.
"What then?"
"She rejected me," I said my voice hoarse and whispery.
"Oh shit man! I didn't know, she said shed give you a chance."
I couldn't take it anymore and let it out.
"Well she fucking didn't! She told me she couldn't do this anymore and had to go do something on her own, then she left Ethan. She left me and you and Ivy and everyone!" I shouted.
"Dude what do you mean 'she left'?" He asked confused.
"She got in her car and drove out of the territory," I replied bitterly getting up.
"I can't believe it, this is the first time she's ever done something like this. It's unlike her, something must be really bugging her."
I nodded and started walking to the forest.
"Have you tried calling her?" Ethan yelled.
"Yeah won't answer her phone," I answered stripping down.
"Chase? Are you okay?" He asked sincerely.
I replied by changing into wolf form a d running into the woods. I needed time to process this, a lot of time.

Ivy's POV
"So she just left? No goodbye?" I asked again.
"Practically. Rejected Chase and then left," Ethan explained for the hundredth time.
"We should probably go find her," Henry said.
We all nodded in agreed.
"No, leave her. If she wanted you to come after her she wouldn't have left in the first place," Valerie spoke up.
Fiesta very leaves with no explanation and rejects her mat, now Valerie is sticking up for her?
"Why do you care?" I asked
"I don't but I was the only one who seemed to notice she was off," she replied.
"Well since your so wise and 'think you know her, where is she then?" I asked kinda irritated.
"I don't know but I do know that she'll come back when she's ready," she said and left the room.
Henry exited as well, leaving Ethan and me alone.
"Do you think she'll come back?" I asked my mate.
"I hope so," he replied, kissed my cheek and left the room.
I was now alone, all these thoughts running through my mind. Avery was gone. She'd been having an inner battle for a while and I, her best friend didn't even notice.
