I spun around on my heels in total shock. His accent had begun to fade slightly, but I would recgonize that voice anywhere. His eyes were darker than I remembered and his brown roots were beginning to show again. "Niall?" I was totally shocked to see him. Niall Horan had been my best friend since kindergarden, but ever I haven't seen him since he went on the Up All Night tour. Everytime he was back in town, he just went to see his family. I had assumed he had forgotten about me. It would've been easy to, I mean he changed his phone number so often that it was impossible to stay in touch. "What are you doing here?" I questioned.

"I don't even get a nice to see you or how are you from my favorite girl?" He wrapped his arms tightly around me and rested his head in the crook of my neck. He was wearing the cologne that I had given him when he had applied to the x-factor for good luck. I guess it had worked. I gently stepped out of our hug. "Um, Niall, I've got to get going. Peter is waiting for me."

"Peter? Did you two finally get together?" He said poking at my stomach a little. He knew that I was ticklish.

"Yeah we did." I giggled a little at his touch. "Maybe we could catch up later though?"

"That'd be great, Kitty!"

"I think I'm a little too old for you to be calling me that."

"Oh, sorry, Kaylen. But yeah here's my new number" He took my phone out of my hand and his fingers started gliding over the screen. He handed it back to me with a small smile as he walked up to the coffee counter, and I walked out the door. How could he act like he hadn't even spoke to me for the last two years? I shrugged my shoulders, but before I was far out the door I had bumped into another person. "I'm sorry," I mumbled as I tried to push past. I looked up to see probably two dozens girls waiting outside of the shop. One girl grabbed my arm as she growled, "Stay away from him. He's mine." I shrugged her off as another girl shouted "You're such a slut. He deserves better."

"What are you even talking about?" I questioned. I assumed that they were referring to Niall, but still.

"We saw you talking to him in there," they practically said in unison.

"We're just friends. I've gone to school with him since kindergarden." Several of the girls crossed their arms and refused to let me through to my car. "Please," I practically begged, "My boyfriend is waiting for me." They still wouldn't move.

"We're not leaving until you give us his number." I shook my head and tried to get around them once more, however, my half-hearted attempts failed to part the crowd. I sighed and sat down on window ledge outside the coffee house. I began playing a game on my phone as the girls started to scream and point towards the door. Niall was coming out of the building with a muffin in his hand. He saw me sitting on the ledge out of the corner of his eye. "You just couldn't stay away, could you?" he joked to himself.

"No, these girls won't let me get to my car." He turned around to face the crowd that was practically screaming in his face. "Hey, guys! Please, let my friend through. She has some place to be. I'll take pictures with as many of  you as possible, I promise." The girls parted slightly as they began to close in on Niall. I felt like I should help him, but I had places to be.

Peter was already standing outside of his apartment building when I pulled into the parking lot. "You're late. I was getting worried," he said with a hint of concern in his voice as I walked up to him. I melted against his body as my lips breifly met his. He was resting his hands against my waist as he asked, "So, what do you want to do today?"

"Could we maybe just watch a movie inside? I'm not really up to doing anything."

"Yeah sure. Sounds great." He laced his fingers with mine and pulled me up the stairs. He fumbled with the lock a little before he was able to open the door. I spotted the newly bought textbooks and binders. It was a not so friendly reminder that we returned to our second year of college in just a mere three weeks. I lowered myself onto the couch and began tracing patterns on the fabric with my index finger. Peter put in a movie without consulting me, which I was surpringly okay with. "So how was work, boo?"

"You'll never believe who I ran into."

"Who?"

"Niall."

He practically spit his drink across the room. "What? I remember when you had the biggest crush on him back in grade school. It was so funny. You followed him around literally everywhere"

I slapped him across the shoulder. The thing Peter didn't know was that the grade school crush lasted all the way up until the time he had applied for the x-factor. "It wasn't as bad as you licking Kelsey's leg because you wanted her to kiss you in front of the whole class."

His face quickly flushed red. "That was just plain embarassing." I bit my tongue a little as I laughed at him. I felt slighlty bad for bringing it up, but I couldn't help myself. He had really hit a soft spot with bringing up my crush on Niall like that. We fell into a comfortable silence as I rested my head against his chest and he wrapped his arms around me. Before the movie had even started, my eyes were fluttering shut. I tried to fight it and stay awake, but I quickly found myself entranced by Peter's breathing as his chest moved up and down in a rhythmic manner. My soft snores quickly filled the room as I realized Peter was turning the volume of the movie down.

Peter is on the sidebar.
