Louis’s point of view…

I stood in front of the door, my eyes glancing from the crumbled up piece of paper to the label on the large double doors.

            Mr. Roberts, Theatre, Auditorium AB

I sighed, raking my fingers through my hair, debating my options.

I’m Louis Tomlinson for heaven’s sake! I am the MVP of the football team! I don’t need to be wasting my time with some stupid theatre club Kaylyn is in. She’s the theatre kid, not me! Why does dad make me have to join this stupid thing?!

I sighed again, bit my lip, and checked my watch.

Liam and Niall would just now be starting their workout session; I could run over and still be on time…

I looked back up at the door, wincing as I realized Kaylyn would probably rat me out if I skipped. Maybe I could bribe her?

My phone went off in my pocket, and I swiftly fished it out of my pocket, praying it was Liam or Niall offering to save me.

‘Have a great first day in theatre! Can’t wait to hear all about it! –Mom xox’

I groaned, slumping my head in defeat. Guess there is no way around this…

I recollected myself, fixed my hair, and tugged on my varsity jacket, before pushing through the door, entering my own version of living hell.

            “Here we go” I muttered.

Rose’s point of view…

I smiled, breathing in the air and smiling fondly, the smell of sawdust, paint, and Febreeze romancing the air.

            Theatre, my second home.

I sighed, letting the stage lights warm my cheeks, thawing out my frozen body due to being trapped in freezing classrooms all day long. Theatre, the place where I can escape reality and dive into another world, a world where you didn’t have to worry about popularity, or money, or grades, or-

            “Emma! Be seated please!”

I looked out into the audience from where I stood on the stage to see Mr. Roberts, the theatre director come strolling down one of the isles, a clipboard in his hand. “I’m about to begin” He called again, a smile on his face.

Mr. Roberts could pull off being Dwayne Johnson’s twin brother, the 2009 version of course, before all the tattoos, crazy buff body, you get what I mean. Although looking incredibly intimidating, Mr. Roberts was the biggest softie ever, the theatre department his family.

I nodded, and hurried to the edge of the stage, sitting in between Cassandra and Kaylyn, ready to hear what juicy gossip Kaylyn had in store for us.

Cassandra was one of my best friends, with blonde hair, green eyes, and glasses that she liked to hide behind, whenever shyness came knocking on her door. She was one of my closest friends, since she lived next to me, we constantly hung out; baking or just jumping around the room, rocking out to songs and whatnot.

Kaylyn, on the other hand, had blonde hair and blue eyes, seriously being Cassandra’s other half; the crazy, sassy ‘life of the party’ half. She liked to chill out as well, but embraced her sassy nature, getting her nose into all the juiciest gossip possible. I mean, it’s not like she had to investigate when her brother is the most popular guy in school…

“I have some bad news for you guys…” Kaylyn muttered, chewing her lip, not her usual spunky self today.

“What’s wrong?” I frowned, tilting my head to the side.

            “You know my brother, Louis?”

I nodded, figuring he pulled yet another merciless prank, but she looked anxious, almost irritated? She cleared her throat, leaning forward Cassandra and I so she could whisper.

            “Louis is-“

Next thing I knew, the back auditorium doors were opening, obviously new here; the side entrance of the theater being the typical entrance. Like deer in the headlights, the entire troop’s attention was brought to the back of the theater, where Louis Tomlinson came slowly walking in, his flat-billed hat hiding his face as he made his way down to the front, handing a crumpled up piece of paper to Mr. Roberts.

            Louis Tomlinson.

Louis was the school’s most popular guy and the guy that every girl wanted, heck, guys too! He was a party animal, had tattoos, drove fast cars, MVP of the football team, and my, was he attractive! He was average height, but with brown hair that was always swept to the side, something he obviously prized, (evidence thanks to Kaylyn) he was never caught dead without his varsity jacket or a flat-billed snapback on, style being one of his main priorities. Today, he wore a simple, black V-neck shirt, his varsity jacket, and black skinny jeans, his chest tattoo peeking out of his shirt. He looked impatient, but flustered at the same time, never bothering to look up and make eye contact with any of us. But what was he doing here? Didn’t he have practice or something?

Mr. Roberts read over the paper, before smiling, giving Louis a pat on the back.

“Ladies and gentleman, I present our new member!”

We clapped, but in shock, in utter disbelief that he even knew the theatre troop existed, let alone join. What’s really going on?

“That’s the bad news” Kaylyn whispered in my ear.

“Our dad forced him to join…” she explained. I giggled, knowing he would never show up here on free will…

“Emma!” Mr. Roberts called, gesturing me over to him, his voice serious. “C’mere”

I obeyed, carefully hopping off the stage and scurried over to where both the men stood.

“Emma, meet Louis” Mr. Roberts gestured to Louis, nodding as he did so. “Louis, meet Emma, she’ll be the one showing you around and getting you accustomed to everything.”

I froze, gawking at Roberts, not believing what I was hearing.

            Why me?!

I stifled my complaint anyways, and being the good sport like I am, forced a smile, gesturing for him to follow. “C’mon! I’ll show ya’ around!”

Kill me now. Could I at least be showing someone around who actually cared about theatre?

“Whatever, let’s just get this thing over with” He muttered, trudging beside me.

It took everything in me not to give him the world’s dirtiest look.

            This ought to be fun…
