Roads and Dead Ends

Think of a road or a highway.

Just a straight path to anywhere depending on where you want to take it.

Now think of a dead end. You cant go anywhere except turn around.

And what is turning around going to do? Just lead you back to that main road and you could either choose to turn into another dead end, or take that road towards better ones.

Now let's add life into that little metaphor.

Now lets say this straight path "road" is leading you to a better life, new opportunities, and a place no one knows your name. A place to start over.

Now this "dead end" is a path YOU chose to take.

This dead end is full of all the mistakes you've made, enemies, bad memories, terrible thoughts, and things you thought you forgot about.

You staying in the position your in now, is basically staying in that dead end just re living the past instead of looking foward at things you could be changing.

So let's say you turn around and your on that road to opportunity.

Things get better, things start to change.

Your no longer thinking of the people and memories of the past, but of these new people you have met, new hobbies, jobs, and goals that are being offered to you by this road.

And you know what you've got to do?

Keep walking down that path.

Dont turn around, dont look back, dont check the mirrors, just look straight.

Just keep a normal pace because if you go to fast, you may miss something.
