The Bachelor | Luke Hemmings

Chapter One - Luke Meets the Girls (Part One)

Luke walked into the beautiful mansion overlooking the ocean, thoughts swirling around in his head about his past relationships, finding someone his mother would approve of, and if the girls will like him for Luke Hemmings the dorky awkward guy from Australia, not just Luke Hemmings from 5 Seconds of Summer.  He finds the room that the girls will be waiting in while he gets to know all the girls tonight.  He sits on one of the couches and looks at his hands.  Can this process really work? or am I just wasting my time?  He can't help but wonder.  It is then that Chris Harrison walks into the room. 

"Hi Luke, you ready to get outside and meet the ladies that will be trying to win your heart?" He says.

"Can I ask you something first? Have you ever had a celebrity as The Bachelor? How am I going to know if they are doing it to actually get to know me and not just so they can use me for my fame or anything? That's how my past relationships have ended and I don't want that anymore."

"I can say that this is a first.  I can assure you that the ladies have no idea that you are the Bachelor.  Just what your name is and an explanation of what you look like so that won't happen."

Luke takes a deep breath, readying himself to stand outside for who knows how long to meet all of the women wanting to win his heart and get an engagement ring at the end of this. 

"I think I'm ready."

He walks back through the double doors that lead to the outside, where a water fountain surrounded by flowers awaits him.  As he stands in front of the fountain, he takes a deep breath, wanting the night to go smoothly and not have anyone make too much of a big deal about him being the Bachelor this season. 

As he was caught up in his thoughts, he heard the sound of tires of the first limo crunching the rocks on the driveway and couldn't help but feel the anxiety chipping away pieces of brain.  Not only the anxiety of meeting almost thirty girls and trying to remember their names, but the anxiety of having these relationships turn out to be like his past relationships.

The driver opens the door and a black high heeled foot touches the ground and then a beautiful, long haired brunette with ocean blue eyes in a floor length white dress comes out of the limo first.  As she is walking up to Luke, he can't help but get lost in her beauty. 

"Hi, I'm Samantha, and I can't wait to get to know you, Luke."

"Hi, Samantha, you look gorgeous and I can't wait to get to know you, too." He says as he brings her in for one of his famous hugs and then watched her walk into the mansion to wait on the same couch he was sitting on not long ago.  Little did he know, she knew exactly who he was and everything about him and had published fanfictions that were originally about him but had the name changed so that it appealed to more people. 

The next girl came out of the limo wearing a knee length red dress that hugged her curves in a way that drew Luke in.  Her blonde hair and green eyes, that he could see excitement in, drew him in even more.  Needless to say, she took his breath away.  When she got to him, her smile and the way she carries herself made him feel safe.  The fact that Chris told him that no one knows he is in a band made him feel more safe with her.

"You look amazing.  What's your name?"

"Thank you! You also look amazing.  My name is Kayla and I can't wait to see where this goes."  She gave him a smile, a warm and inviting hug and walked off just in time for another girl to walk out of the limo.
