[Chapter 16: Darkness Or Light?]

Shadow's pov~

Black. Black is all I can see... "Hello?" I called out, not getting a response. "Where am I?!" I questioned, fearing the worse about my situation. "This isn't funny!!!" I shouted, picking myself off the cold ground. I looked around, trying to find a way out of this dark prison. I finally found a light. A slight glimpse of it. "Ah ha!" I mumbled seeing it. "Now how do I..." I jumped, feeling myself fall weightless as I flouted into the air. I flew closer to the light, feeling myself being pulled into the light if almost this was destined to happen.

The light was ever so blinding. I blinked as my vision soon came pouring into view. "H-huh?" I mumbled, sitting up against the wall. I rubbd my forehead, then moved the hair out of my eyes. "W-where am I-I?" My voice began cracking, as I asked looking for anyone. Not a sign of anyone There. "W-what's going on..." I asked, looking around for... ANYTHING at this point. I tried standing, but my leg collapsed under me. I fell to the floor, having my legs give out as if I just ran a marathon.

I laid just to whisper even so softly. "I don't want to be alone..." before falling into a deep, deep sleep.

[Time Skip...?]

I awoke from my slumber only myself in a different place this time. I was on a bed? This place looked familiar... My thoughts were cut off when I heard a voice saying. "Sh-Shadow? Are you okay." that voice sounded so familiar too...

"W-where am I?" I asked trying to sit up, But whoever was there laid me back down. "No Shadow. You need to lay down. Your body isn't like mine. You need to rest." they said softly, as if they knew me? No... I don't even know myself. So why would they knew.

They leaned looking at my face. "You look so pale..." They mumbled, placing a hand in my forehead. "And feel so cold... Shadow. Where did you go?" they asked, giving a worried look.

A hand was placed on they shoulder, in a way saying that's enough. "Hey Lauren, I think it would be better for Shadow to rest, y'know?" A different voice said. "Okay, Shadow... You get some rest, Okay?" they said softly, before saving by and leaving the room.

Lauren's Pov~

As I left Mrs. Mangle's room where she was keeping an eye on Shadow, I felt empty inside. No one there to annoy my thoughts... It didn't feel right... Shadow was always there. And now she's not...

"Hey Lauren. Don't be like that. She's gonna be happier that way. But, the first few days it will be her getting her memory back. So..." Nightmare said, patting my shoulder. "Okay, I've just been so worried about her. She's just uh... Emotion-less. I hope she'll be fine." I said. Sitting down the one of the tables out side in the stage area. "I bet she will turn out just fine!" Nightmare said. "She's gonna be just fine Lauren. Don't worry about her!" Goldie said, leaning over on the table. "I guess. But she's apart of me..." I trailed off. "Well. She's not anymore."
