Like The Weather

Just fuck me up like nicotine and drugs
And soak my heart because I love rain
Our dirty mouths are too old to hug
Leave my heart with a chocolate stain

We'll snuggle up in white sheets
Trusting all the vapor inside
Fighting our internal heats
Kissy smiley pinky lips to go fly

But there's no sunshine even in summer
Not unless there's a you who's here with me
And as the night gets numb and glummer
A pair of boxers and hoodie will replace and be

Cause it was just a smirk and a stare
A wink and a goddamn kick to the shin
You'll be my boy but the win may be a glare
Soon though, I'll wonder where you've been

Weather will be cold even in ninety degrees
And the wind will be blowing southward
And it'll take you along with a breeze
Just leaving me with one more word

Smoke'll take my lungs, he'll take my heart
One that is yours and eventually won't be
You'll be top of the billboards and a chart
I'll be sick and you'll be lost at the sea

After I say bye it'll be gone and done
Like the storms in the sky at night
Like the wind taking the kite and fun
Like the weather that I can't fight
