Conney was first diagnosed when he was 14.
He had grey short bed hair that really fitted with him.
Then we shaved it off. So it didn't fall out. Cancer was catching up to him quick. It ran in the family through his fathers side. I've known Conney too long to not hurt. He looked just like his father, who died recently after signing up for battle.
Conney doesn't know.
While Connie went away to war, I stayed at home and got trained myself, by a private trainer so I didn't have to go through training out there.
His father went to war shortly after Conney left, so Conney wouldn't know.
He worked for the scouts, the most dangerous of all.
They brought back his remains. His hand, missing two fingers. All fingers broken and wrapped up in a towel freshly bloodied.
When the mother received this I was with her. We cried together, he was like the father I never had.
I lived with my mother houses away from Conney's household. My father left to work in the walls and have never returned.
He sent a letter to my mother making that perfectly clear.
It's easy for someone to say that this world is cruel, but that is a understatement.
This world lies. This world is unfair.
But this is the world we live in, and that's the world we will stick with.
I joined the wall when the Titans got in once more, the one they found out Eren was a Titan himself.
I got into the scouts and was there before Conney. And that leads me to today. I am here standing like an idiot next to corporal Levi waiting for the new arrivals.
Me and Levi have became close to eachother. Nothing more then friends. I try to hook Levi and Petra up, but the same old thing happens.
"But I'm inlove with you"
I don't know how many times I've heard that. I know they never mean it tho. My looks. Some people told me this, drunk, and I didn't even know what their names were. Which sounds bad at the time.
I have brown hair. With white long strikes in it. My parents never told me how I got it.
My mother told me I was struck by lightning, as humor. But all I know is that Conney's family knows, the whole towns knows. And no one will tell me.
I've pushed Conney to Tell me.
It's funny. The only guy I do love will never tell me he loves me.
Okay, back to reality.
Me and Levi were there talking. Him laughing never happened. Only when we are talking, since he is grumpy and I am outgoing and have a sense of humor. But deep down in that black heart of his, he jokes sometimes too. After laughing I looked around. I've been looking around for hours.
"Oi. There they are. Bout damn time" he said before sighing. I instantly jump, and half way on Levi.
"Oh my god Levi they look like sardines they will be so helpless" I said. He grabbed my arm to hold me down. He then let go as they came over. The first person I made eye contact with.
Conney.
Conney stopped. He froze and looked at me for a second, not believing. He dropped his bags and without me noticing I was running tears him. He leaned down alittle, so when we hit contact he slightly picked me up and spun me.
"Conney!"
"Oh my god Lelo" he said laughing. He placed me down and just watched.
"Uh uh" he stuttered " how's my mom. My dad. Your mom" he said quickly.
"Our mothers are great" my mood dropped. I turned to Levi who looked really concerned. He knows his father was like mine. I turned back to Conney.
"He left didn't he" He said kinda annoyed. He was still hugging me, his hands connected around my waist and I was just there.
"Did he..." I instantly rehugged him. While I was under him I felt a single drop hit and I straightened up.
"It's okay. He did it saving us. As much as a jerk move this seems, I spent too much tears and we really have to go before the storm rolls in. " he just nods. He grabs his bag, slings it over his back and gets on the assigned horses. I jump on mine and we ride in silence all the way back.
When Conney and I were 14 we got the horses and just run through a trail till we hit a creek.
This is when I feel inlove with him. And I wasn't crazy. I knew what this was.
Now back to the present.
We got back, yes we have been talking so long me and you.
Levi is yelling about cleaning. I'm laughing at Levi for yelling about cleaning. And he's yelling at me for laughing at him for yelling about cleaning. It's a crazy twist.
After a good day of laughing, I walked outside and maneuvered into a tree. I sat there and just stared.
"Hey! Lelo could you Jump down? I'm too lazy to get up there. " I instantly roll my eyes. And Jump down.
"Why are you always lazy" I said looking at the baldy.
He smiled.
"Let's walk" Connie said turning and walking away. I shuffled with my gear to get to him.
"Take it off" he said. Me being instantly dirty. I jumped.
"No"
"The gear I mean. I'll carry it. "
"Ohh" I stopped. I started taking it and giving it to him. He carried it on his side.
I sighed.
"I'm sorry for my father" he said. Which got me confused. "I know he was like your father too" she said and I sighed. I placed a hand on his shoulder to stop him from walking. By now we made our way to the creek I was looking at in the tree.
"He was YOUR father " I said. "I know, he was a fatherly figure. But he was your father" I said. "I don't know why your apologizing"
We went silent. Then he laughed.
"Did you know. Before I left, I had a crush on you" he said laughing. I smirked. "Had?"
He didn't reply. Just nodded.
"You sure do seem like you still do!" I said breaking the awkward conversation as we sat down next to the creek.
"You seem like you still like me too!" He said with the same time as I do.
"Still? How did you know I did even have a crush on you?" I asked.
"I know EVERYTHING" he said turning to me.
I yawn as I stare at the creek. I take off my boots and walk over to the grass side of the creek and dip my feet in. I them sit along the side. Conney walks over and stands behind me.
I turn to see him and he is taking off his shirt. I quickly turn and look down at the water. Then.
Guess what.
Water. Everywhere. And guess what.
Conney did it.
I looked up and he was in the deep side of the creek and I was soaked.
"Get in Lelo" he said. I poured and turned away. I then layed down. I heard him pouting so I just simply sigh. And look at him.
"Do you REALLY want me in there?" I asked alittle annoyed. He nodded and I sighed. I undressed until I was just in bra and underwear.
"Don't look"
"It's not anything new Lelo"
"What?"
"Nothing!" I turn and out my hair in a messy bun before walking over near Conney.
"I don't wanna jump" I whined. He grabbed my hand and pulled me down. Before I hit the creek he grabbed on so I landed smooth.
Long story short, we just were in there enjoying the water and talking.
I was crouched so my shoulder were underwater. Conney was on the side of the creek reaching for something to dry off with.
"Conney?" I said. Alittle questioning.
Conney turned alittle and cocked an eyebrow.
"This is gonna sound crazy" I said. I breathed in and sighed. "I think I still like you" I said. He paused. Turned and leaned back, his elbows resting on the grass beside the creek.
"Really? I thought you liked Levi" he said. I shook my head no. He laughed.
"Well that's good news for me" he said.
"Come here" he said nonchalant. I stood and walked over slowly (since water makes water look like a struggle)
Conney held out his arms and you fell into them.
"Conney I don't want you to be sick" I said.
"Well it's slowly going away. And it's noting we can change, if I was sick or not" he slowly said. A silence fell.
"I still like you too" he said.
