Love, Relationship and Distance

Can you?

Can you look at my tears,
And say they just look like
pearls,
And then look at pearls saying
they're beautiful than my
tears?

Can you look at my smile,
And say they're better when
they're real,
And when you see tears,
Can you turn them into happy
one?

Can you look at the cuts on
my wrists and pretend
that you magically made them
dissapear,
Or can you promise me not to
let me add more?

Can you make my depression
run away on the bare foot
Or just stay by my side
So that it would run away on
it's own?

Can you say that I'm beautiful
even with the bags under my
eyes,
Or tuck me to sleep
So that there will be no bags
to ruin my face?

Can you just sing me a lullaby
When I'm staring at the space
in the sleepless nights,
Or just make sure I'm not
staying up late crying coz of a
stupid reason?

Can you just say it's ok to feel
too much
When I'm restless,
Or just help me to put down
the feeling that I'm burden to
everyone?

Can you say I deserve better
And promise to give what I
deserve,
Or just stay and smile
So, I can feel and tell you that
you're the best?

Can you help me win the
losing battle with my life,
Or just win it for me
So I can discover a reason why
to live
And for whom?

Can you be my shade,
After I dry my tears in the hot
sun,
Or drench in the same rain
to tell me that I'm not alone?

Can you be there for me
Even when you're far,
And say I'm beautiful,
Even with all these scars?

Can you say that you were
And will always be there,
Or just forget the past,
And make memories that will
last?

Can you say I'm more than my
poetry,
Can you say I'm better that I
show,
Can you lift up my spirit that
has become so low,
Or touch my heart
And Just say you know me
better
than I've ever known...
