Scott's POV
I stare at my reflection in the full body mirror and inhale deeply. I then adjust my bow tie before turning around to face my mom, who is in tears at this point."I can't believe my little boy's getting married today!" She cries with joy.
"Yup..today's the day!" I smile, grinning ear to ear.
I can't wait to see Kirstie in her dress. She's going to look beautiful..I just know it.
"Aghh! My best friends are getting married!!" Mitch cries loudly. "I'm getting all emotional." He says as he wipes his tears away.
Avi, who is marrying us then pokes his head into the room.
"It's time to go brotha." He says enthusiastically.
I breath in and out deeply..I'm ready...nervous...but ready.
Kirstie's POV
I stare at myself in my floor-lengthed wedding dress (picture above) as Genevieve touches up my makeup. I turn my head to see my brides maids, Maisie and Tori, and my maid of honour, Esther crying."You look so beautiful!" Tori croaks.
"I can't believe my best friend's getting married!" Esther cries excitedly.
"You look stunning!!" Maisie smiles.
"Awe, thanks guys..I'm excited to say the big I-do! But nervous if I'm being honest..." I trail off.
With that, my Dad walks in, grabbing my hand and pulling me towards the door.
"It's time." He smiles through a few small tears.
"I love you, Dad.." I smile.
"I love you too."
And with that, we walk through the doors. It's time..the day is finally here and I'm getting married!
Scott's POV
I stand on the beautiful ocean shore next to Avi, waiting for Kirstie to walk down the aisle.
Lindsey Stirling and Kevin begin to play a duet of 'Like I can' by Sam Smith on the cello and violin (A/N: LOVE THAT SONG!! SEARCH IT UP NOW IF YOU HAVN'T HEARD IT!) signalling everyone in the audience to stand up and face towards the end of the beach, where the tents we got ready in sit. I then watch as Kirstie exits from the large tent, her arm wrapped around her fathers. My jaw drops as she walks down the aisle. She looked stunning, beyond describable beauty. I let a few tears slip down my cheeks as she lets go of her fathers hand and holds on to both of mine.
"Y-You look..beyond gorgeous.." I say breathlessly.
"Only the best for my husband.." She smiles.
After our first impressions, we got into vows.
"So..I was 14 and in high school. One day, I was walking down the halls and bumped into this girl. My first thought on her was..damn, she's so down to earth. After hanging out with her for awhile, I realized that I had fallen for her..hard. I just knew that one day I was going to make her mine..and I did. Kirstie, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. I used to deny my feelings for you because I wanted you to be happy. And let me tell you something..I'm so glad I told you how I really felt in the end. Because if I didn't, we wouldn't be here right now, would we? I love you Kirstin and I want to start a family in the future, to grow old with you, and die happy knowing that I spent my life with such an amazing woman."
After ending my vows, the water works come in from tons of family members in the audience and Mitch, who's my best man and is standing right next to me."Scott...I really don't know what to say. Wow." She chuckles as she wipes some tears away.
"Let me just start off by saying that I am beyond excited to marry my best friend. You are my everything. I love you for a million things that you constantly do, but don't even notice that you're doing them. And..I think that if I could give you one thing, I would give you the ability to see yourself through my eyes..only then would you realize how special you are..not just to me, but to the world. If I ever had to choose between breathing and loving you, I would use up my last breath just to say I love you. Scott Hoying, you make my world turn. And I would love to spend the rest of my life with you to prove it to you."
Kirstie then finishes her last words and begins to cry, followed by a chorus of sniffles and sobs from the audience.Avi then looks over at both of us.
"May I have the rings, please?" Avi asks, looking down at my nephew holding the rings. My nephew proceeds to hand Avi the rings and then walk over to my sister to sit down.
"Okay..well I think we can all agreed that that was emotional." Avi jokes, causing the crowd to chuckle.
"Now, Scott..do you take Kirstie to be your lawfully wedded wife through sickness and health, through rich and poor, till deaths do us part?"
(A/N:don't know if this is how a ceremony goes..just wingin' it.)"I do." I whisper softly, looking down into Kirstie's hazel-green orbs.
"Kirstie, do you take Scott to be your lawfully wedded husband through sickness and health, through rich and poor, till deaths do us part?"
"I do." Kirstie smiles in reply, staring into my eyes deeply.
"Okay...then you may kiss the bride." Avi smiles brightly.
I pull Kirstie's body against mine and kiss her passionately, not releasing my grip on her waist. After a few seconds, the audience begins to clap, signalling us to detach and walk back down the aisle.
Kirstie and I trot down the aisle happily, holding each others hands tightly.
She then smiles up at me enthusiastically."We did it!" She screams happily.
"We did." I whisper, pulling her in for a kiss. And at that very moment..I knew that this is what I've always wanted....and it's what I'm gonna have for the rest of my life..
