  I walked into school with bruises on my stomach, from last night's and this morning's beating. I walked to my locker, put my bag in it, took out my textbooks, and closed my locker.  When I turned around, I saw Bryce, my guy best friend.
  " Hey!  What's up?" he asked.
  " Not much," I said.
  We walked to class together, and met up with my girl best friend, Meals.  We walked into homeroom, and none other than Hunter Mackiotio was there. Hunter is my bully. He's a jock, his girlfriend is a cheerleader, he gets all a's in his classes, and his dad is a director.  He has the perfect life, then there's me.
  " Hey, dork. Where'd you get those bruises?" he asked.
  " None of your business, jerk," Meals said.
  " Back off," Bryce said.
  " You and one army!" yelled Hunter.
  " Shut up!" Meals said
He swung a punch at Meals. She fell to the floor, unconscious.  I screamed.
  " YOU IDIOT! JERK! BUTT!" Bryce screamed.
  He tried to punch Bryce in the stomach. I stopped him.
  " If you lay one finger on him, I will go loco on you."
  " Oh really?"
  He swung a punch right across his face. He didn't fall, he fought back. Bryce hit him in the stomach.
  " What would you do if I hit your little girl friend over here?"
  " Try me," Bryce said.
  Hunter swung a punch at my stomach, where the biggest bruise was. I yelled in pain. He swung a punch at my nose. I fell. I tilted my head and saw Bryce kick Hunter in the face. He toppled backwards. Bryce ran over to me.
  " Gracie! Are you ok?
  The room started spinning. Then everything was dark.
