CHAPTER FOUR; Him

"Cami, I can't be here. We have to go," Elijah's ears picked up her voice from across the lively cafe.

"Wait Scarlett, where are you going? Let me talk to them," Camille stood, mirroring the woman she sat across from.

"You know them?"

"Yes, and they won't hurt you, not after I kick their asses."

Neither of the Mikaelson siblings could make a swift run to them in the cafe without drawing attention, but they both made their way through the restaurant, striding past oblivious customers. Within their short walk, he watched Camille whisper to her, and in under mere seconds she had disappeared, having dashed outside through the back door. Yet before she departed, she stole a glance in their direction, and her wide hazel met his with a storm of confusion building inside them.

Her flight stopped the Mikaelson dead in their tracks as Camille rose from her seat and approached them. A deep scowl was embedded on her face, matching the one Niklaus' sported on his.

"Camille, shall we talk outside," Klaus feigned a pleasant smile, yet a low grumble of rage sounded from his throat at Scarlett's vanishing.

"Now you want to talk to me," the blonde crossed her arms in an annoyed stance. With Klaus at a loss for words, she rolled her eyes at his silence but brushed past them, her feet storming outside. Elijah was surprised to see his brother, always so fluid and prepared, to be caught off guard. But the eldest Mikaelson knew that the woman before them infatuated Niklaus, and to learn that she knows the perplexing Charleston witch, only drove the ancient vampires further into a stunned silence.

Outside without wandering eyes and ears, Camille crossed her arms as she stood in front of them, her brow still furrowed into a frown. In her eyes, Elijah could see a storm of anger unfolding as her mind whirled to try to think of something to say, yet she found herself at a loss for words.

"Let me begin, Camille," Klaus began, his voice softening. "I didn't mean to bring harm onto your friend. From a quick glance - Scarlett is it? - I thought she was someone else, but now I think we have a bigger problem on our hands."

"What do you mean? How could you think she was someone else," she fired out of confusion.

"Well, we found out she is related to someone Elijah was rather close to," Niklaus answered, turning to his brother and beckoning him to continue.

"Around two hundred years ago I met a woman named Florence Charleston. Her and I had a very close relationship for a year, in which I learned she was a witch," he said as a mask clouded his feelings of bewilderment about the mysterious case of Florence Charleston, the two once so in love until she vanished to never be seen again.

"What does have anything to do with Scarlett? They have the last names, but so could someone without any relation," Camille asked, her voice heavy in disbelief.

"Her and Scarlett look so much alike that it would be impossible for them not to be related," Elijah shook his head.

"And, we learned she's a witch. She couldn't be compelled," Niklaus added.

Watching her face furl into another expression of shock, Elijah stepped in, "I think it would be best if we talked to her."

"Elijah, she is scared out of her mind! She thinks she was killed and somehow woke up from death! I don't think she wants to see either of you," the blonde nearly explodes as all of this was becoming too much for her to wrap her head around it.

"Yes, which is why I must talk to her!" Lowering his voice, he murmured, "Something happened that I have never seen within my thousand years of existence. Her heart had stopped and starting beating again without any vampire blood or spell."
