This is quick, but you really need to play the song at the side while you read it, thank you. :)

Louis' POV

This tiny, prison cell offers no comfort as I rest my head back against the cold, soft pillow. I wish the ground could swallow me whole until I was no longer living. How did it come to this?

Tears only brought more sadness, but they flooded my face every single day with no sign of remorse. Other prisoners didn't interact with me, they simply chose against it and at least, for that small mercy, I was glad. I didn't wish to have anybody's company if I could not have hers.

The nightmares of the evening that got me to where I am now still torture my mind. Every night I think of her, and the way she looked so desperately into my eyes for a saviour. A saviour that I couldn't be.

The gunshot rang out through the air, my body went stiff in it's tracks. We'd been running from her stalker for so long now that we'd almost believed he had gone for good. But he came back with a sickening vengeance.

With every ounce of energy I still had left, I ran to her side falling down beside her seconds later.

"Louis..." Annie barely managed to whisper from her lips. Reaching my hand to her cheek, I rubbed smooth circles onto her face. Her painful tears cascaded down her cheeks making my chest feel numb.

"Don't worry baby, it'll all be ok." But I knew I was lying. The blood poured from her open wound, soaking through her clothes and pooling onto the concrete beneath her. Looking over her body, I noticed a glistening, silver object. The gun. I picked it up testing it's weight in my right hand. Kissing Annie's forehead, I promised, "I'll be right back ok, stay with me." Leaving her side felt like having my heart ripped from my chest but she would not die in vain. I'd get her the justice she deserved.

The stalker, a man of around 5'10' with dead, brown eyes and a ghastly pale face was running from me. He knew of my intentions and he'd seen me coming from the building he'd tried to hide behind. Although I knew he was there, I could sense his presence. I'd never used a gun before but tonight, this man would be the one to die because of it. Never would I lose Annie to the hands of a sadistic, psychopathic killer.

Pulling the trigger, I watched as the man toppled to the floor with a gun wound in his lower back. Rushing towards him; I dragged his head from the floor by his hair.

"This is for harming my girl, rot in hell you bastard!" I thumped my foot into his stomach with as much force as possible. He grunted in pain and twisted onto his front, choking up horrid amounts if blood in the process.

Wasting no more time on him, I hurried back to Annie's side. She was barely clinging on and I could see the sheer agony in her eyes.

"Louis, make it stop, I'm not ready to go." Her sobs were turning into choking fits. Holding onto her face, I gaped at her not sure what I could do. So I lay down beside her, desperately fighting back my tears. I had to stay strong for her sake. She needed me to protect her, but now it was all too late.

"You're going to be ok, I swear." In my head, I prayed for her life to be saved. I didn't believe in a god but right now felt like a good time to start believing. A part of me knew she wasn't going to make it. She'd already lost so much blood; there was no way she could have been saved.

"Louis?" Her hand fumbled around for mine by her side, I took it and squeezed lightly. "Will you do something for me?" Her words were slow and breathless.
