Rea POV
I don't know how many tears have fallen down my face, or how many gallons of puke I see on the ground in front of me. All I know is now, I'm not in that white room anymore. I'm not tied to a chair, but that doesn't make it any different. I couldn't move. If I tried, I no doubt would add more to the already full ground of throw up.
I knew I wasn't alone. But honestly, I didn't care. All I could feel was pain. Was that why they brought me here? To make me feel as much pain as I could before I eventually died?
But what's the reason for that? Was it because I'm a crossbreed?
Shadows began to appear. The closer they got, the more I really wanted to just give up.
Voices came along with them, "Is there any reason why we should keep them alive? I mean," the shadows stopped right in front of my cage.
Is that what I'm in? A cage?
"Look at her," I could taste the disgust coming out of her voice. I couldn't see beyond the shadow, but I knew she made a face. "Look at him."
I heard another voice chuckle. Was that Danny?
The lady shadow spoke again, "Do you think it's safe for them to stay in the same cell? Is that really a good idea?"
Danny laughed, "I want him to suffer a little more before I put down his mate. That way," the shadows seemed to come closer, and Danny whispered, "he will be so weak, he can not take position of Alpha."
The lady gasped. "You are such a genius!"
"I know," Danny spoke before walking away with the lady close behind.
They planned on taking Noah's position as Alpha.
Wait they talked about him and his mate- aren't I his mate? And he's here in this cell, with me?
"Rea," a voice spoke out from the darkness. His voice was so close, yet so very far away. "Rea," he said again.
I could hear something something shuffling across the floor, coming closer to me. The closer it got, the less pain I felt, the faster my broken rib healed.
I sighed in relief. I could feel my rib snap into place, and my lung under it heal.
Whoever or whatever was shuffling to me stopped, and groaned. I heard a snap.
Quickly, I turned over and looked at it.
"Oh Jesus..." I covered my mouth with my hands. Alpha slowly crawled across the cell, slowly making his way to me, but the closer he got, the more pain he seemed to be in.
"Rea," he said once again, but clenched his teeth from the sudden snap we heard.
"A-alpha!? What a-are you doing!?" I slowly stood, leaning against the cell wall, stumbling to the far end of the cell, getting far from Alpha.
With each step, the pain came back.
One, two, three. Snap.
I screamed and fell to the ground.
"Rea!" Alpha's voice filled my ears. "Rea, stay still! Let me take the pain!"
"No!" I managed through clenched teeth. "I can't do that, Alpha! You need to be strong for your pack, you heard what Danny said!"
Tears fell down my cheeks even as I said this. He needed to be strong, not me. I can cry if I want to.
"No Rea!" Alpha was suddenly on his feet, walking full speed to me. "You don't understand. Without you, the pack is nothing."
