I don't know if it was a good or a bad thing that Harry shut up because my dad burst into the room.

But guessing from my dad's vivid expression and the fact that Harry, who is the strongest, most rebellious person I know, was shaking in fear must mean that this is a very very bad thing.

"Dad?" I asked. I mentally cursed myself for not locking the door. "You can't just walk into my room"

"And he just can't walk into this house" dad said, shooting daggers at Harry through his eyes.

"Well technically, he didn't walk into the house. He climbed in though the window" I provided in vain hopes that maybe dad would stop murdering Harry in his mind. My attempts were futile though because dad's eyes never left Harry as he told me to watch what I say.

"I-I'm sorry Mr. Horan, I'll leave now. I just wanted to make sure that Niall was safe" Harry said as he took a step backwards.

"He's never gonna be safe if he's with you" dad spat back and I rolled my eyes. I turned my body so I was facing Harry and nudged at the direction of the window with my chin.

"Go" I whispered. Harry nodded quickly before making his way towards my window and flying off without looking back.

"Niall" my dad said sternly.

"Yeah?" I sighed. Can't I go to sleep yet so I can dream about Zayn? Apparently not.

"Are you and that Styles kid....mating?" dad said and for once, he didn't sound strong and stern. He sounded uncertain and scared. But that wasn’t the only reason why I nearly toppled over my own feet.

"WHAT? ME AND HARRY? WHAT? NO!" I screamed as I took a couple of steps back. "Dad! How could you think that?"

"Well the both of you are too close for my liking, and you never seem to hang out with your other friends. Do you even have other friends, Niall? Other friends that are actually good for you"

"First of all dad, Harry IS good for me. He brings out my more confident side. Second of all, I do have friends. Loads of them. But they never hang out with me because of you" I sighed.

"Me?" dad said incredulously.

"Yeah dad! They're afraid of you"

"Why?" dad asked. I sighed at how oblivious he is to his own actions.

"Because you might treat them the way you treat Harry" I said. Before Dad could reply, I pushed him out of my room. "I'd love to talk about Harry, or not, but I really have to go to sleep. I've had a tiring day of protecting Liam from all sorts of evil" I said.

"Evil? Did you meet a--"

"Bye dad" I said before slamming the door at his face.

After I listened to his footsteps walk away, I jumped on my bed and groaned in relief as the stress from the day slowly etched its way out of my system. I’m not saying that my wonderful day with Zayn was stressful, in fact, it made me forget about all my duties and responsibilities and what I’m supposed to do and what I’m not supposed to do. But having to talk to dad really wasn’t the best way to end my day.

So I took off my clothes quickly and changed into my plain pajamas and closed my eyes. I didn’t even notice that a smile was making its way onto my face as I thought of Zayn until I woke up the next morning with harry hovering right on top of me.

“You look very happy. Did you have a wet dream?”

“Harry!” I whispered as I sat up and pushed his body off mine so he landed on the space beside me. “What are you doing here? My dad could have caught us and it won’t help since he already thinks we’re fucking”
