A little bit of fun (Ziall)

Chapter 20

"Don't be crazy, Niall" my dad said.

"But dad, it's easier this way. I'll still be able to talk to you and Harry as long as you show yourself. You don't have to be ashamed of me anymore because I'm technically not your son anymore if I turn human" I said, silently thankful that neither Jek nor Ruff has pulled the trigger yet.

My dad's features softened even though his tight grip on his bow never ceased. "Niall, I was never ashamed of you"

"Yeah right" I rolled my eyes. "You never wanted me to hang out with Harry, and if ever I was hanging out with him in public-- which I rarely do because of you-- you make it a point to ignore me when you pass by. Don't worry about me dad. I've seen the horrible things that humans do and I'm ready." I said.

My dad was about to protest again but then someone from the council spoke up, "Okay that's enough reminiscing. We don't want your last memories with your father to be this, right? Or maybe we do. Anyways, peasants kill hi--"

"No" Yaser said, keeping his eyes on me.

"What?" a different devil exclaimed. "Are you fucking mental? We're supposed to kill him, right? You told us we could kill him as long as we spare your son"

I looked at Zayn and he looks just as surprised as I am. I should be offended, even scared, but I did find it quite touching that despite everything that Yaser said, he still loves Zayn somehow.

"But isn't it interesting? To watch the both of them cope as humans, that is, if Zayn agrees to become human as well along with Niall" Yaser said.

My eyes grew wide, I stared at Zayn who wouldn't meet my eyes, or anyone's in particular. He seems to be having an inner battle with himself. My heart broke. I guess he wasn't as willing as I thought he would be about being together no matter what. It was such a shame, I was and am so in love with him. But maybe he doesn't love me as much.

Zayn looked up from the floor and met my eyes. His face was quickly overcome with guilt and I looked away. From the corner of my eye, I watched as Zayn was about to say something, but never got it out because about 10 devils burst into the room.

"The angels are here" one of them breathed out, he was badly burned in many places and I felt really bad for him except for the fact that he's a devil and one of the possible reasons for his injury is because he hurt an angel first.

"Jek, Ruff, bring Niall back to the torture room" Yaser said. I was about to try and fight them, and maybe hopefully succeed, when about 10 more angels burst into the room. At first, I thought they were just there to provide my father some more protection, but then someone from the devil's council screamed. Jek and Ruff were too distracted by the scream, giving me the perfect opportunity to take a couple of steps away and check what happened.

What I saw was not lovely at all.

The devil who was previously speaking to Yaser about sparing Zayn's life was currently on the floor, an arrow through where his eye should have been. It doesn't take a genius to realize who the arrow came from.
