~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
for the last four months, I realized I'm pretty free in this world. Ignoring the fact that i'm sixteen, and I carry my mom on my shoulders like she's my daughter. I believed I could get in where ever I wanted, be with any person I wanted to; And still know where I'm standing without making stupid mistakes.
But I was a person, a someone, and everyone makes mistakes.
I rolled my lower lip inside as I unconciously cocked my eyebrows. "I won't tell you."
"but you already did." he stopped the car.
He was right, I did.  but not enough to block my only way out, right?
"come on, you already screamd and cried about it here, so you have to answer-"
"No. No!" I raised my voice, which made Luke back up.
I didn't like it when people tried to control me. As I already mentioned, I cherish my freedom. And the fact that a guy I don't really know, even though he's cute, tells me to talk about my life infront of him - wasn't making me happy.
I guess you can call that a hit in the ego.
"Well, I guess this is not gonna get anywhere, so-" I touched the knob.
"No, I told you you're not here for that." he brightend his face with a smile and restarted the car. I awkwardly sat back.
As we were driving in a silence, I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. It was a text from Holly.
"I need comfort and suger. :("
Mentally chanting a thank you to my best friend, I typed her an answer back.
"Holl, I'm on my way to the beach now, meet me there."
"Fine. But don't make me those cream cheese cookies this time. x"
smiling to myself and about to type back, from the corner of my eye I noticed Luke was grinning for a long moment now.
"I was hoping we could know each other better."
"Do you mind if my friend comes over?"
after a moment of silence I lifted my eyes and caught his stare.
"oh, sorry. sure. you're right." I said. "How old are you again?"
Luke was spreading a blanket on the sand while I helped open an apple pie box.
"I didn't know you bake, Mr." I smiled. "you haven't told me you brought it!" Luke crawled on his knees with an embarrassed smile on his face. He pinched my left cheek and looked like he was about to say something in the last minute.
I hated myself that moment. All I did was casually smile an open smile for a second, then take out the napkins. Maybe I really wasn't supposed to do anything else, and maybe he was the rude one. But the annoyed, impatient moan he made, touched a nerve in me. I was totally ignoring him and his intention. I DID think he was sweet yesterday.
Was I actually acting like some kind of player? "Rain! Rain," A delinquent voice was heard. I snapped and dropped the stupid sandwich bag I was holding, and made my way to holly.
"are you here alone?" Holly stood there and stopped walking towards me. She crossed her hands over her chest. I grabbed her forearm and led her after me. "you didn't tell me you were here with someone! Is that a guy?" she took of her sunglasses, narrowing her eyes at me. "you werent even gonna tell me, aren't you?
