Day 1 of the outbreak
This is the first day of the outbreak. I really don't know what to write about first. I mean, today was really long and really hard on all of us. I'm tired, scared, and still really confused about what is going on and how this thing started. It came out of nowhere. We didn't know what was going to happen. Our group is really tired and they said we should keep a diary of everything that is going on. This will be my part of it I guess. I should tell everything from the start.
I woke up a little early today. It felt good to actually wake up today. Small streams of light poured through my closed blinds. I shut my eyes for a second more and took a deep breath in before sighing and slowly kicking my sheets off and standing up. I opened up my blinds and my window letting the cool fall breeze blow lightly into my face.
After standing there in the window for a bit I finally decided I should start getting ready. I walked out of my room and into the hallway getting myself towels from the closet beside the bathroom. I walked into the bathroom and looked into the mirror as I shut the door, locking it. I looked at my brown sleepy eyes and my black hair that was sticking up all over. Really, I looked disastrous. I sighed and thought to myself
'Hey loser.. Madusa wants her hair back.."
I sighed and looked down into the sink before I stripped out of my Pj's. I looked at my slim figure in the mirror. Did a little pose for some confidence before turning on the shower and climbing inside. After washing everything down and waking myself up with the nice steamy shower, I checked out my legs. I have really bad scars on my legs. I went through a rough time a couple years ago.. I shouldn't write this down I realize that some of the group could read it. Especially Alison.
Anyways, I got out of the shower and dried myself off. I cleansed my face, brushed my teeth, and got to work on my makeup. I really enjoy cosmo and makeup. I want to get into special effects makeup if my first plan doesn't work out. I want to be a mucisian. It's my dream. After getting my makeup done I blow dried my hair and styled it the way I wanted. I grabbed my red beanie and put it on doing some final touches. I then wrapped a towel around myself and walked to my room and got dressed. I got my combat boots out of the closet as I grabbed underwear. I got out my skinny jeans that had torn out knees. They are about one size too big but I like the way I look in them. I picked out a simple black tank top putting that on before throwing my favorite sweater on.
Now that I was ready I grabbed my backpack and made sure I packed everything I needed for the day. I grabbed an extra change of clothing just in case, my medication, some extra makeup, phone, charger, and headphones as well. I looked around my room and I didn't see anything else I needed. So I went to the kitchen and packed myself some snacks for the school day. I grabbed myself a glass of OJ while I was at it. My sister and brother were both eating at the table as my mom was getting ready for work herself. She came over and kissed the top of my head.
"I am going to work now okay guys. Take care and I'll see you later. Don't forget to eat Alex." She looked at me over the top of her glasses. I waves my hand at her.
"Yes ma'am now don't be late for work again."
My mother sighed and smiled at me.
"I guess god really did want to kick me in the ass. You are so much like me."
I giggled a bit. My mom always said that I look like her. My nickname for my family when I was little was 'Little Lilly' because my mom's name is Lillian.
After my mom said her goodbyes she headed off to the hospital for her day of work. I got my little brother ready and sent him on his way. His school was just a couple blocks away so if it wasn't too nasty outside he walked. I waited for Alison to scramble her things together and watched the time. I always like to be early. When me and Alison left and got into my car it was 8:45. Our school started later then the others in our town. We started at 9:15. Since we were on time today me and Alison stopped by McDonald's and got coffee.
