Chapter 8

Once we get home from Starbucks we decided to go to a flee market because we're corky teens...😎 Before we left I ran to my room to grab some money and my sunglasses. Once I was done in my room everyone squished into the van and we drove off. The seating arrangement is Jc driving, Conner in the passenger seat, Sam in the seat behind Jc, me next to Sam, Trevor next to me, and Rickey, Kian, and Cindy in the back. Tbh I felt bad for Rickey because he's kind of 3rd wheeling back there. The car ride was full of arguing over music, complaining that is was too hot, and Rickey narrating everything that Kian and Cindy did (just to make sure there wouldn't be any little Kian's running around). Kian got so fed up with him. Lol. Cindy was pretty chill about it though.

Once we got there (finally) we all hopped out of the car and began our adventure. I wasn't looking for anything specific, but Connor was looking for a retro Polaroid camera, Kian wanted a collectors comic book thing(idek), and Sam was looking for an old band t-shirt. We were looking around when I stumbled upon a ring that reminded me of one my mom used to have. It was her favorite ring, other than her wedding ring of corse. My dad threw out most of her stuff and I know that chances are this isn't the exact ring but I still felt a bit of a connection. It was absolutely beautiful. The band was a copper-gold color and it had a really cool purple stone on it that almost looked ombré. It's crazy how much it looked like my mom's.

Kian walked over to see what I was looking at. "Shit Jules. That looks exactly like mom's," he said. "I know. I think I might get it." I said. "It's on me. You deserve to have something to remind you of her." He offered. "Thanks Ki!" I hugged him really tight and he pretended to not be able to breath. Classic Kian. He paid for it and I put it on right away. After a while of walking around everyone got really dehydrated and hungry, so we went to a stand to get lemonade and pretzels. We walked around for a while longer until everyone get pretty tired, so we left.

Overall today was pretty successful and fun. Conner ended up finding the camera he wanted and a cool leather case for it, as well as a really cool candle holder that was metal and had the word "coffee" engraved into it, and a hat. Sam didn't end up getting the band t-shirt, but him and Kian got matching Hulk shirts, and he got a license plate that said his name. Other than the Hulk shirt, Kian got a pair of tye-dyed socks, a comic book and a collectible match box car. Cindy got an evil eye bracelet, a crocheted shirt, a belt ,and a pair of flip flips because her sandals broke while she was walking. Jc got a really cool dog-tag necklace and an acid wash denim jacket. Rickey got a bunch of old pockémon cards and action figures, and a disco ball thing. Trevor got a pair of camouflage sneakers, a framed picture of Beyoncé, and a shirt that says "yes, I'm a bitch". I got the ring that Kian bought for me, a cute backpack that was baby pink with baby blue and lavender set clouds on it, and purple crocks. Yes, everyone made fun of me, but I regret nothing.

The ride home was really quiet because everyone was either listening to music on their phones or sleeping. To be fair to Rickey I sat in the back with Kian and Cindy, but it wasn't that bad considering I was asleep the whole time.

I'm so sorry that it's been so long since I've updated. I honestly just forgot about this😁 I'll do my best to update a lot more!
