Calum jogs up to me and is out of breath. I look at him with odd face.
"Hey." He says while smiling. He catches up to my walking pace and begins walking next to me.
"Uh, what do you think you're doing." I respond walking a little faster so I can get away from him. Why would he want to talk to me? I was that freak, artsy girl that everyone tried to avoid. Why would could Calum Hood, the Calum Hood, want to walk with me? Talk with me?
"Sorry about that back there, I just needed to do that so I could get rid of Allison. And it wouldn't be too good for my rep now would it." He laughs while awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck.
I roll my eyes. That's all the populars care about is their reputation, not about grades, not about other people's feelings, just their reputation.
"Whatever. I have to go but it was nice talking to you... I guess." I say
"Wait," he says and grabs my wrist and spins me around, "where are you going?"
"Uh, just to this cafe."
"Can I come?" Calum asks with a weak grin. He lets go of my wrist.
You see, if I said no Calum would probably get very, very angry and squash me like a bug, so I didn't really have a choice.
"I guess." I shrug and turn back around.
The walk there was short but very silent and very awkward. We finally get seated and the waitress comes around to take our orders. I order just a plain coffee and he orders one of those stereotypical frappichino or whatever they're called.
The waitress came back rather quickly and gave us our coffee and we sat in silence for a while until I decided this was enough.
"What do you want from me Calum?" I lean forward.
"You want to get in pants again? Sorry but that's not going to happen. I made a mistake and I don't plan on making it again." I sigh and stand up. As I'm standing up, I stop as I hear his voice.
"I just wanted to talk." he says.
I sigh and walk back to my cushioned seat. He begins the conversation by asking what kind of music I like. I go on and on about all of the bands that have inspired me and helped me through many hard time throughout my life. Turns out Calum and I have very similar music tastes and enjoy a lot of the same bands. One conversation led to another and it felt like we talked forever. I checked my phone and it read 3:30 pm where we originally began talking at 11:00 am.
"Wow, we have been here for a while." I laugh.
"Yeah, it was a nice talk though. Finally someone who actually understands me, you know? I'd really like to get to know you better Sarah, I hope you know that." he puts on that charming smile he probably pulls with every girl he comes in contact with. But I couldn't help myself.
"Yeah, me too." I say smiling back.
"What's your number? Maybe we could hang out again." he says, pulling out his phone.
I give him my number, we awkwardly wave each other goodbye, and I walk out the door. My house wasn't too far from the cafe, only three streets over so I made it home rather fast. I walk inside as quickly as possible, hoping I won't bump into my mother, god knows where she is, but I didn't need to deal with a drunk right now. I was lucky and I made it into my room without seeing her. I pull out my laptop and open my Twitter account. I had two notifications, one was from my friend Kelly liking my tweet and the other was a follow request. I click on it and see that Calum requested to follow me and I found myself smiling to myself, even though I'm not too sure why.
The conversation we had today really changed my perspective on him. We had 3 whole hours to talk about things without worrying about people judging you for your opinion. I found out that he had to deal with that same problem as I did, just in a different way.
I accept his request, follow him back, and close my laptop. I procrastinate for an hour or two, but then push myself to do my homework. After 3 hours of hell, I finally completed all of it and decide to take a shower. Once I get out, I get out my speakers and begin to play 'I like it when you sleep for you are beautiful yet so unaware of it' probably one of the best albums ever released. Over all of the loud music I hear a loud bang from downstairs. I quickly shut off the music and wait to see if I will be able to hear the noise again. Yep, there it is. I swiftly open my door and walk downstairs and see my mom on a rampage. She screaming and throwing things and I am bewildered.
"Mom? What's wrong?"
She stops and looks at me, dead in the eye. Her eyes are bloodshot so she is obviously high. Not surprised.
"You," she says and sternly walks up to me.
"You did this, you ungrateful bitch. How fucking dare you." she pokes her finger at my chest.
"I- I didn't do anything." I respond and I slowly back away, shoving her wrinkly finer off of me.
Now I was getting nervous. When occasions like this happen, they don't end too well.
"Shut up, just shut the fuck up!"
And with that, she punched me._
OOO drama
lol okay so I know it's super cheesy but what the hell. don't worry there will be more chemistry between Calum and Sarah but I want it to be kind of realistic I guess
please vote for this chapter and let me know if enjoyed it in the comments :)
