《 Chapter 5 》

"How are you exactly related to him?"

"Well, this is a very long story. You need to not cut off my words when I'm talking in order to let me finish it." He reminded me.

I sighed, "Okay."

The guy nodded, satisfied with my answer. "You must be very curious why did I suddenly appeared if I have been secretly protecting you for years. Well, I appeared because Jaebum can be help. He can become the old Im Jaebum again."

My eyes widened, "How?"

"Before that," He paused for while before continuing, "You and Im Jaebum are meant to be together. But something went wrong in the system, so the book that you were reading that time misleaded you, it brainwashed you to confess to Jaebum."

I frowned, "What, You're telling me that it all started with that book?!"

He looked at me calmly, "Geez, don't be so agitated."

"But, it make no sense! How can a book destroy everything, and how did it went wrong in that 'system'?" I asked him.

"The system that I'm referring to is the the one that the Cupid Angels uses to record the love stories between couples. As I said, something went wrong. So, the book wasn't meant to appear and to mislead you. It's all a mistake, okay?" He explained.

Despite not being sastified with his explanation, I nodded. "Continue."

"On the day itself when the incident happened, Jaebum was actually suppose to confess to you." He continued.

I was surprised, "Y-You mean that, he likes me?"

"Yes." He answered. "But now, no."

"Let's just get straight to the point. Then how can I get the old Jaebum back?" I asked.

"Since it's our fault for making these happened, we will help you with it." The guy said. "You need to make him fall in love with you again. If he managed to fall for you again, his memories will come back to him. Then he will eventually become the old Im Jaebum again."

I laughed ironically, "Make him fall in love with me? How? I didn't even know that he likes me. Besides, I'm so ugly, how to even make him fall in love with me? He's not that Im Jaebum who doesn't care about people's appearance anymore."

"No one is ugly in this world." The guy said. "Don't worry, I got someone to help you."

Your eyebrow raised, "How do you help?"

"Of course, it will be a makeover." Another voice appeared out of nowhere. I turned around to see a girl wearing a smile on her face, and she's really pretty. Before I can even react, I realized that the guy was gone.

"Hello! I'm Hyun Eun, I'm here to help you with your makeover." She grinned at me.

"Makeover?" I asked again, ensuring that I'm not hearing it wrongly.

She nodded at my question, "Don't worry. After this, you'll be very pretty."

Hyun Eun pulled me to the dressing table and made me sit down, before putting down a bag of make up items on my dressing table.

She told me to remove my glasses and put on contact lenses, but I hesitated. "But I have never wear this before, will it be fine?"

"Don't worry, you'll get used to it soon." She assured me.

After that, Hyun Eun taught me how to apply those make ups on my face. Lastly, she removed the clip and put my hair down.

She smiled, look satisfied. "There, we are done!"

I was stunned when I looked at the mirror. My eyes blinked a few times, and couldn't believe how I looked in the mirror.

"Oh my, is this even me?" I mumbled, with my eyes widened.

Hyun Eun giggled at my reaction, "You didn't see wrongly, this is you. Of course, I'm the one who help you with the make up."

I quickly stood up from the chair and bowed at Hyun Eun, "Thank you for helping me with it!"

"You're welcome, just remember the steps for doing make up. I'm sure you can do it on your own, bye!" She waved and disappeared in the air. I was frozen by the sight of it.

It's so cool to disappear and appear out of nowhere, huh?

"So how is it going—" The guy, who claimed to be my guardian walked into the room, and stopped talking when he saw me.

I frowned, "What's wrong?"

"Who are you?"

"Yah, are you serious?" I asked him, feeling a little pissed off. "Are you acting? I'm Min Sung Hee!"

"Sung Hee wear a glasses and her hair are always tied up. She's not like this, okay?" He replied.

I crossed my arms together, "She just had a makeover, Sir."

His eyes widened and covered his mouth, "You're Min Sung Hee?!"

I sighed heavily, "Is that a compliment or an insult?"

He was amazed by my transformation, "Wow, Hyun Eun got some skills, huh?"

"Yah," I began. "What's your name?"

He looked at me curiously, asking for a reason through his eyes.

"Just a name for me to address you, okay?"

He cleared his throat and smiled at me, "My name is Choi Youngjae. Nice to meet you."

I nodded, "You already know my name."

"Alright! Back to the topic, from now on, this will be your new look. Now, let me tell you things that you're not suppose to do." He paused for a few seconds and continued.

"First, don't be buried in books. You can read one in school, but don't make it obvious that books are your obsession in school. Secondly, don't ever ruin your image. Don't be clumsy and refuse to talk to people."

I nodded, even though it may be hard for me to do it.

"Thirdly, always use contact lenses in school. You look like a nerd with that glasses."

I glared at him, even though I know it's the truth.

"Lastly, be confident. Remember, you're not that nerd that everyone assumed anymore. You're pretty now, but you must have confidence."

I started getting flustered by the sudden praise, this is the first compliment I ever got. "Sure."

He looked at me with doubts, "Are you sure? Can you make sure that you have confidence while standing in front of Im Jaebum?"

I pursed my lips, because I don't think I can do it.

"Well, you must pretend that you don't like him. Since he doesn't even care about your existence now, just act like you don't know him then." Youngjae told me.

"But.."

"You're afraid that you can't do it?" He asked and I nodded.

"Let's go out now, you need to build up your confidence level."

I frowned, "Can we not? I hate being criticize by others."

"See, you're still living in the past. Look carefully at the mirror, you're not that Min Sung Hee anymore. People won't judge you because you're no longer that Min Sung Hee!"
