Angela's POV
Four kept bothering us for about an hour after we got home. "I'm about to put a restraining order on him," I pointed at the door while talking to Jeremy and Nick. "This is harassment."
"Technically, it's not harassment unless he's saying insulting things to you," Nick replied.
"He's basically ringing the doorbell every five minutes," I replied. I looked at James, who is putting a puzzle together with Jeremy. "I can't let him take my baby away from me."
"Do you think Four will try to kidnap James?" Jeremy asked.
"He possibly will," I nodded as I looked at my phone. "He has a criminal record."
"It doesn't define who he is," Jeremy shrugged.
"His last crime was three months ago," Nick sighed. "Before that was five months ago. You do the math."
"Okay, I see what you're saying," Jeremy nodded. "So, what do we do?"
"I don't know," I sighed. "Four is a master criminal."
"I have it," Nick replied. "You pretend to tuck James in bed."
"And?" I asked.
"And I will be in there," Nick nodded.
"No, let's not do that," Jeremy replied.
"How about you pretend I'm James and tuck me into bed?" Nick asked. "And you have James sleep with you guys."
"I like that plan better," I nodded. I set the house alarm. "I think we should all just go to sleep." I pointed at James. "He's out."
"All three of us have to work tomorrow," Jeremy sighed. "I'm closing tomorrow."
"Okay, so you will be watching James during the day," I nodded. "That's perfect. Come on." I showed Nick to James' room. "Get in bed." Nick got in bed and I put the blankets over Nick. "Good night." I turned out the light and closed the door. I walked into my room as Jeremy put James in the middle of our bed. "At least he doesn't take up much space." I put my gun and badge on my nightstand. I went to my bathroom and changed into a pair of pajamas. I got in bed. "Jeremy?"
"Yes?" he asked.
"Can we talk?" I asked. Jeremy looked at me. "I'm still scared."
"Why?" Jeremy asked.
"I'm afraid he's going to kill the both of us and take James," I sighed.
"Just go to sleep," Jeremy smiled. "Everything will be alright."
"Okay," I sighed. We laid down and I turned off my lamp. I fell asleep. I woke up to the house alarm as soon as it went off. James even sat up in bed. "Damn it."
"Really?" Jeremy asked as he turned on his lamp.
"Take care of James," I sighed. I got out of bed and grabbed my gun. I slowly walked downstairs being careful with every turn I made. I turned off the alarm. "What the hell?"
"Ahh!" I heard Nick yell. "Angela! Help me!"
"Nick!" I called. I ran upstairs. "Nick!" I opened the door and I saw a figure standing over Nick, choking him. "Freeze!"
"Shoot him!" Nick choked. I shot the guy in the arm and he fell to the floor. I turned on the light and I saw who it was. "I knew it."
"I hope you know you'll be locked up for a long time," I nodded.
"Come on," Nick sighed as he got Four up. "You're under arrest for assaulting an officer."
"Say goodbye," I nodded. Nick walked out with Four. Jeremy ran into the room holding James. He hugged me. "You're okay."
"Mommy's okay too," Jeremy smiled.
I had a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. "But I think I'm going to be sick," I nodded. I ran to the bathroom just in time. I was in there for a good three minutes. I flushed the toilet and walked into the bedroom where Jeremy was, laying down. "Jeremy, we have a problem." Jeremy sat up and looked at me as I sat down on the bed. "We have a serious problem."
"What?" Jeremy looked at me. I looked at him with worried eyes. "Angela, you're starting to scare me."
"I'm scaring myself," I nodded as I looked at him. "I'm pregnant."
"Come again?" Jeremy blinked.
"I'm pregnant," I replied.
"No, no, you're not," Jeremy nodded. "You probably have a twenty-four hour bug or something."
"Jeremy, let's face it here," I looked at him. "When have you ever known me to be sick?"
"Never," Jeremy sighed.
"Exactly," I responded. I nodded. "I don't know if I'm pregnant for sure but that's the only thought since I rarely ever get sick.""I want you to go to the doctor tomorrow before you go to work," Jeremy looked at me. "Just to be sure, okay?"
"I will," I sighed. I could barely sleep for the rest of the night. I went to the doctors and waited for my results. I waited in my room just for the doctor to get back and it was taking longer than usual. The doctor finally walked back in. "So, what's wrong with me?"
"Nothing's wrong with you," the doctor smiled. "You are pregnant and the baby seems to be perfectly healthy."
"Doctor, maybe you're not quite hearing me," I sighed. "My husband and I have been trying to have kids ever since we got together three years ago. That's when I found out I couldn't have kids." The doctor looked at me. "It should be in your reports. I came to this exact clinic and that's what they told me."
"Yes, it does show that here but miracles do happen," the doctor nodded. "Mrs. Manning, you have to expect the unexpected sometimes."
"Alright, thank you, doctor," I sighed. I walked out of the clinic and got into the car, since Jeremy was waiting. "Uhm..."
"So, what were the results?" Jeremy asked as he started driving.
"I'm pregnant," I sighed as I put my hand on my head. We got to the precinct. "Can you come in with me?"
"Yeah," Jeremy nodded.
I walked inside. "Hey guys," I sighed. "Where's Liv?"
"Her office," Nick pointed. "What's wrong?"
I walked into her office and closed the door. "I need to talk to you, Liv," I sighed.
"Anything," Olivia nodded. We sat down. "What's going on?" I sighed. "You're not quitting, are you?"
"No," I nodded. "None of that." I saw Jeremy and James walk into the precinct and sat down at my desk. Nick was playing with James. "Uhm, Olivia, you know how I told you can never get pregnant?"
"Yeah, that's why you adopted James," Olivia nodded. I got up and closed the blinds. "I went to that doctor's appointment with you because Jeremy was working."
"Well, last night, I got sick and Jeremy thought I was sick," I sighed. "I never get sick, and you know that."
"You have one amazing immune system," Olivia responded. "
"That's the thing," I sighed. "I went to the doctor's today and I got my results and came straight here. I don't know how but it's true." I turned around and looked at Olivia. "I'm pregnant, Liv." She was speechless. "Yeah, that's exactly how I was. I was lost for words because I thought I could never get pregnant. But now, I need help because I can't work."
"You can either do desk work go leave on paid vacation," Olivia nodded. "Those are the only two things I can recommend and I know you hate desk work."
"Yeah, felt like a secretary when I first started out," I sighed. "Never will I again."
"Then I suggest you take the paid vacation," Olivia sighed. "But I don't understand the part where you need help."
"Jeremy and I live in a two bedroom house," I responded. "We're going to need help moving once we find a new house."
"We'll be there to help," Olivia smiled. "We are your second family, remember?" I nodded as she put her arm around my shoulder's. "Let's tell everyone else, shall we?"
"Yeah," I smiled. Olivia opened the door and we walked out. I walked over to Jeremy. "We're going to need a bigger house."
"We'll work on it," Jeremy smiled.
"Alright, listen up, everybody," Olivia called out. Everyone turned their attention to her. "Mrs. Angela O'Brian-Manning is taking a leave of absence of paid vacation."
"We're down a member of the squad, and now another member is leaving," Amanda responded. "How are we going to manage?"
"We'll make it through," Olivia smiled.
"Why is she taking a leave of absence?" Nick asked. "Did the FBI want to hire her?"
"No," I nodded.
"Angela is taking a leave of absence for nine months," Olivia nodded. "That's the only hint I'm giving you."
"Oh my god!" Amanda exclaimed and attacked me with a hug. "Congratulations."
"Thanks," I smiled.
"Congratulations, you two," Finn smiled as he hugged me. "I know you've been waiting for this for a long time."
"I know," I smiled. "It was really unexpected since I was told I can't."
"Well, it's a miracle," Finn smiled.
"Am I the only one confused?" Nick asked.
"You're going to be an uncle again," Olivia looked at Nick.
"You're having a baby?" Nick asked as he looked at me. I nodded. He hugged me. "Oh my god! I can't believe you're having a baby of your own."
"Mine or not, I'll love them the same," I smiled. "Just like James."
"And I told her we'll be her own personal moving squad," Olivia nodded. "They're going to look for a bigger house."
"I still can't believe it," I smiled. "I'm pregnant with a child." I looked at Jeremy. "Our child."
