9- Saved me

Dove's POV
I slowly open my eyes. I'm staring at a white ceiling laying beside Ryan. "Well look who finally woke up." A doctor says. I smile and look over at Ryan. I push his hair back behind his ear. His shoulder is all bandaged. "Hey." He mumbles. "Hi baby." I whisper playing with his hair. Tears run down my cheek. Ryan's hand reaches my cheek and he cups my cheek in his hand. "Please don't...cry." He whispers. I try to hold it in, but can't. "You saved me." I whisper playing with his hair still. He caresses my cheek and slightly smiles. "Hi. I'm Doctor Scott." A guy doctor says shaking our hands. He gets our names, ages(Ryan just says he's 22) and we tell him what happened. "I see." He says. Ryan's still laying down, but I was able to sit up. "What happened to Ryan?" I whisper twirling his hair around my finger. "He got shot in the shoulder." Doctor Scott says. "Ryan why'd you save me?" I whisper looking down at him. He grunts and struggles to sit up, but he does. "I'd rather it be me than you." He says. I blush and kiss him. He smiles and puts his forehead against mine. The doctors give Ryan pain medication and bandage up his arm. I wipe my eyes and put my head on Ryan's chest trying to keep myself from crying. "Baby...don't cry." Ryan whispers kissing my forehead. That just makes me cry more. I sigh and the doctor says "You're probably ok leave, but let's make sure." I get up and walk around to Ryan. The doctors give him a sling for his bad arm. The doctor and I help him up and he keeps his arm around me. "Um...Dove someone is here to see you." Dr. Scott says. "What?" I ask. "Hi Chloe." My mom says. "Mom." I say and hug her. "I missed you so much." She whispers. "Me too." I say.

Ryan's POV
Seeing Dove with her mom makes my heart melt. She's so adorable. They pull away and Dove says "Mom this is Ryan." She says as they walk over to me. We shake hands with my bad arm. "How'd you guys meet?" Her mom asks. "Funny story actually." I say. Her mom smiles and Dove giggles as I put my arm around her. "Ready to go?" I ask Dove. "Yep let's go." She says. Her mom drives us to my apartment. Dove sits in the back beside me. "Ryan are you ok?" She asks me. "Yes I'm fine don't worry." I say. I'm actually not ok. It hurts, but I don't want Dove to worry. She keeps her head on my good shoulder all the way home. We get to my apartment and I lay on the couch. Dove comes over and sits beside me. I put my head in her lap and she plays with my hair. "So Chloe you've been staying here for a month?" Her mom asks. Dove nods not looking up from me. She runs her finger over my cheek and jaw line tracing my face with her finger. I yawn and try to stay awake put fail.

Dove's POV
I look down and Ryan's asleep. I smile and my mom soon leaves. I get up and take a shower. Then I lay in Ryan's bed and fall asleep.

Ryan's POV
I wake up to my arm hurting. I get up and take another pain medication. I guess I fell asleep on the couch, but where's Dove. I pull my shirt over my head and go into the bedroom and take off my jeans so I'm just in my boxers. I can't shower because of the cast yet. I see Dove sound asleep in my bed and smile. I lay beside her and pull her over to me. I kiss her forehead and then fall asleep.
