Dove's POV
I wake up to noise in the room. I roll over and see Ryan pacing back and forth pulling on his hair. "Ry what's wrong?" I ask sitting up. "My parents want to see me." He says. "What? I thought they weren't alive." I say. "Me too, but they just called me." He says. "Well good you can see them." I say. "No. I'm supposed to be 53." He says. "Oh yeah. I forgot about that." I say. He sighs and says "I don't know what to do." I shrug and he comes over to the bed. "Sorry...good morning." He says and pecks my lips. I smile and say "Maybe you could see them. Call them." He sighs and calls his parents. He comes back in the room. "How old do you think they are?" I ask. "I don't know. I'm confused. Probably 70s." He says. Oh yeah I forgot Ryan being born wasn't on purpose. "Well they had me when my mom was 23. So that mens she's 76." He says. I nod and he asks "You're coming with me right?" I nod and say "This is the last day I can take off. I have to work on another movie." "Ok. I'll invite them over." He says. I nod and take a shower. When I come out Ryan is wearing dark jeans and a red button up shirt. "It's your parents you don't have to look fancy." I say. "You do." He says. I look down at my red dress. I go over to him and wrap my arms around his neck. "It's alright. You look cute." He says. "Thanks so do you." I say. Then there's a knock on the door. "Here we go." Ryan whispers and I push his hair back off his face. He smiles and takes my hand. We walk out of our bedroom and open the door. I see two older people both with brown hair and brown eyes like Ryan. "Hey mom. Hey dad." Ryan says awkwardly. "How are you so young?" His mom asks. "I'm 22." Ryan says. "I thought you were 53." His dad says. Ryan looks at me then back at them. "Are we at the right house?" His dad asks. "Yes." Ryan says. "Seriously son. How much plastic surgery do you get?" His mom asks touching his face. He pushes her hands away and says "None." They both look confused then at me. "Oh this is Dove, my girlfriend." Ryan says. I shake their hands. "Nice to meet you." His mom says still confused. "Here why don't y'all come in." Ryan says letting them in. We sit on the couch in silence. "So what have y'all been up to?" Ryan asks. "Nothing." His mom says. We nod and then his dad says "Well we should get going." Ryan nods and says bye. They leave and Ryan puts his hands above his head against the door putting his forehead against the door. I go up to him and hug him from behind. He sighs and turns around. He looks like he's about to cry. I hug him so tight and he picks me up so he can put his head on my shoulder. I wrap my legs around his waist and ask "You ok?" "I guess." He says. "Do you want to talk to me?" I ask. He shakes his head and then says "It's weird how they really didn't care." "I know." I say playing with his hair. He puts me down and asks "Wanna make dinner?" "Sure." I say and we go into the kitchen. We just make chicken and I sit beside Ryan. "Do you think it's time for a new apartment?" He asks looking around. "Probably." I say. "And I was thinking of going into acting." He says. "That's great babe." Dove says. I smile and look down at her. She puts her head on my chest and we eat talking now and then. "We can go house hunting next week." I say. "That sounds good." He says. We finish eating and decide to just go to sleep. We cuddle for awhile and I end up falling asleep in Ryan's arms on the couch.
