Jason's POV
'Ugh... Where am I? What is this place?"
I sat up, still in my wolf form, and tried to look around. Key word, tried. I could barely turn my head to look around. I felt metal rub against my neck, and realized that a metal collar was chained to the floor, holding my head in place. I could also feel restraints on my paws. I attempted to growl, but a muzzle held my jaw firmly in place.
I started to struggle, but the chains kept me firmly in place. I looked around, at what I could see through the darkness. I noticed iron bars, all the way around. I was in a cage. Looking between the bars, I couldn't see anything. I listened to what was happening outside, and around me.
I heard several voices, but I focused on the one with authority.
"You say there were two of them?"
"Yes, we knocked out both, but the red one got knocked overboard into the ocean. Its cage broke and we saw its body float up to the surface. It probably drowned."
I was shocked down to the bone. CK was dead? It couldn't be true. But they said that there were only two, meaning me and her. I forced the sadness down, and continued to listen.
"Only one figure was noticed flying to the island before, the red one was probably this white one's friend. And if this guy right here is a hybrid, then we'll take care of him."
The cage started to move, and I could here people pushing it along. I heard others whisper about the covered cage, aka the place I was trapped. I wanted to escape, but I could feel the metal restraints blocking my magic. My energy was still sapped from my hunting. Unless they let me out I couldn't escape.
After a few more minutes of being pushed around in the cage, I started to get annoyed with all the whispers flooding my ears. I started to writhe and squirm, making the chains rattle loudly. I growled through the muzzle, making the people gasp, wondering what kind of wild beast was caught.
Soon enough, the pushing stopped but I still writhed around. A voice called out, drowning the rattling of the chains.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the arena! We have gathered here today to expose the hybrid that has been terrorizing us for the past year!" A roar of the crowd answered the call. Terrorizing? I haven't done anything to these people. "An expedition was led by Clark Thompson, to capture the beast that has been spotted taking off and landing in the forest just beyond our borders!"
Of course, humans hate hybrids, friendly or not. There are a few hybrids that I know of that were liked, but that was only because they're famous. Jerome's a bacca, and Quentin's a mudkip. Meaning that I might have help, but probably not since the team can be easily influenced.
"We will release the hybrid into the arena, but don't worry! We have set up a barrier around the center as to protect everyone from harm. Once the hybrid has entered the barrier, it can not and will not escape." The restraints around me suddenly released, and the muzzle fell off. The front opened up, and I wasted no time getting out of the stuffy cage.
I entered the bright arena. Spectators were in the stands, yelling at me for my crimes. I changed back to my human form and moved my light brown hair out of my eyes, which still remained with diamond blue for the whites, irises' that were ice blue, and pupils of an ocean blue color. People gasped at my appearance, and wondered what kind of hybrid I was.
A voice sounded out through the arena. "Hybrid, you shall state your name, age, and type of hybrid."
"Why should I? You have no authority over me!"
"There has been a shocker implanted into your neck, if you refuse to listen, you shall be shocked."
I growled, and glared up at the speaker, who didn't falter. He clearly believed that humans were superior over hybrids. I could tell he was lying, just by the look in his eyes.
"Fine. You wanted the truth you'll get the truth." I hissed, venom laced in each word.
"I'm Jason Probst. I'm 19 and a wolf hybrid." I looked over to where I noticed the guys seconds before. They had varying looks of shock on their faces.
"Well done, young one. I'm surprised that you couldn't sense the dark aura in here." The voice was laced with distaste and evilness. It was Nightmare Notch, who looked the exact same since he stabbed me in the stomach.
I growled at him, "Why are you here?!"
He smirked evilly. "Well, I thought that you knew that I had the power of possession. I guess I was wrong. Anyway, I guess I'll have to show you."
My eyes widened as he turned into black smoke, and rushed towards me. I fell to ground, the smoke invading my lungs, taking over my brain. It all hurt so much, little black spots danced in my vision. When it was over, my hands and knees were on the ground. The pain still surged through my body, and the small black spots grew larger. I cried out, but was cut off by another wave. Soon, I could barely see past the giant black spots. But the last thing I saw before I blacked out, was my friends running towards me.
I managed to get a single word out of mouth.
"No...."

I'm starting to like writing these cliffhangers, but I still hate reading them, because if the story continues, but the next part isn't up, I get really pissed at the author. Even if their story is good, I will get pissed. Don't underestimate me.
Anyway, I might post a one-shot of the timed writing narrative I had to do in my Humanities class today. It's about friendship, and how it's a necessity in life. I'm probably going to get some comments about seeing a mental health doctor. Or get sent to an asylum, which won't be fun for anyone.
See ya next time, my enderjewels!
