As I Lay Here In Silence

Was it just me, or both of us?

As I walk out of my 7th period class to go meet one of my friends on the other side of the quad, I see Thomas getting picked on by some guys.
"Hey what's up gay boy."
"Ew don't touch him he's a homo."
"He might get a boner from us touched him HAHAHHA."
I heard them say those hash words that made me feel worse. I ran up to Thomas and called him.
"Thomas!! Hey the teacher is calling us to hurry up! Oh. I'm sorry to bother you guys but the teacher and principle need us at the moment so if you would please excuse us."
"Oh would look at that. Thomas. Your boyfriend is here to save your ass."
As I heard the dimwitted boy say that, I look at Thomas and give him a smirk as a sign of "Watch this."
"Oh how did you know I was his boyfriend. You guys must be close. Well just so you know. I do know all of the faculties in this school and I could get to suspended or even expelled if you just so happen to pick on Thomas again. Now. Please excuse us. My brains membrane is deteriorating because of your lousy attitude."
The tallest boy of them all, he was wearing a yellow shirt with light colored pants. He seemed well built. Maybe 3x more larger than me.
"What the fuck did you just say to me? Little ass. Get the fuck over here. I'm boutta beat your ass right here."
"Oh wow. I'm so scared (I said sarcastically) what will I ever do."
And that's when he swung at me.
Well he missed by 3 feet.
"Oh my. What a nice throw. Now my turn."
I turn my back to face them and kick my foot in the air to spin me around. My make a fist and make sure my knuckles are faced downwards. I land on his face precisely where I marked. And he fainted.
"Wow. In only one punch? Aren't you in the football team?"
"Hara. Stop. You're driving attention to us." Thomas finally talked to me since I came here. But he sounded scared, almost petrified.
"It's okay Thomas. That's what a "boyfriends" gotta do right?"
As I said this, Thomas blushed. His skin turned almost as red as a tomato.
"THOMAS. HARA. JAMES. JUSTIN. AND MARK! WHAT ARE YOU BOYS DOING!"
As the principle came running towards us, the two boys (Justin and James) ran away as fast as they could.
"Okay Thomas. Just be quiet and let me talk to them. If they ask you questions it'll mostly be about what they said to you. Make sure you say what they said and no lies. Don't worry. I'm here to protect you."
As I said that, Thomas came close to me and hugged me. For the first time, he took the initiative to hug me. I was happy though I think he knew because my heart was pounding out of my chest. I wrapped my hands around him and whisper "I love you."
