As Luna and Octavia started walking, Luna couldn't help but look in wonder at how beautiful Earth was. She couldn't believe the green that covered everything. She wanted to just sit there and lay on it while looking at the beautiful blue sky. She loved the new place she called home. She liked it because it meant she was finally free. No one to beat her senseless, no one to tell her, daddy says hi, no one to shut her up. She could run around and be carefree. As Luna was looking around with a huge smile on her face, Octavia watched on with a little twinkle in her eye. The Blake girl was happy that her new friend could see the world with her. They both had had hard lives and deserved every bit of this moment. As they were walking, Finn picked up a flower and put it in Octavia's hair, with a wink he turned around. This made the girl red in the face while Luna looked on with a giggle coming out of her mouth. Octavia and Luna smiled at each other, not hearing Jasper tell Monty that Finn had game. "No, that's Poison Sumac," Monty said. Right as he said that Octavia threw it out of her hair. "It's not poisonous, its calming actually," Monty said as he bit into the flower. Luna watched with a mix between weirded out and thinking Monty was a pretty cool cookie. "I have to know how you two got arrested," Finn asked Jasper and Monty. "Well poisonous sumac isn't the only thing they grow on the ark," Jasper said. "Yea and someone forgot to replace what we took," Monty poked back, "And someone has apologized like a million times!" Jasper said back. Luna laughed a genuine laugh and Octavia joined in with a giggle. "So Luna what were you in for?" Monty asked. Before she could open her mouth to speak, Clark beat her to it, "she decided to become a killer". Luna looked down with her lips between her teeth. It wasn't true, yet she knew Clark believed what her father had said to people. Sometimes, she felt like it should've been her that died instead of her mother. Amelia deserved to live because she helped people and was kind and brave, Luna felt like she was nothing and she believed it because that's all she knew her whole life. Everyone looked at her with wary eyes, everyone except Octavia. Octavia knew there was more to the story, and she would not judge her friend because of something princess asshole said. Trying to kill the tension, Jasper asked, "So, Octavia, what did you do?" "I was born", Octavia said and with a turn, she ran to where Clarke was. "Dude, that was not game", Monty said. Luna turned and started walking, already knowing this was going to be a long trip.

After the two-headed deer fiasco, the group started walking more. Octavia was talking Luna's ear off, but the girl didn't mind, because Octavia wasn't scared of her after what Clarke had said. Luna nodded her head and smiled, and Octavia was excited to finally have a friend in her life. The two had become close, and Clarke could tell. On one hand, Clarke felt betrayed because Luna had been her friend since they were little, then, on the other hand, Clarke didn't want Luna to have friends because she felt like the girl didn't deserve any. As they came to a clearing, Luna and Octavia gasped. It was a body of water and it was beautiful. "Hey! Luna lets go swim!" Octavia told her friend, and they both gave each other a rare smile. As they stripped down, Luna and Octavia gave the others a wink and they jumped in feet first. Luna felt the water go around her small form. She held her breath and let the water take her away for the moment. She felt the muddy bottom of the lake meet her feet and Luna pushed up to get air. When she hit the surface she looked at Octavia who was to her right, and she smiled at her. They both looked at the group above and laughed as they all had their jaws dropped to their feet. "Hey guys come on in the water is fine!" Octavia taunted the group. As Octavia and the group were yelling at each other, Luna looked behind them to see a ripple in the water. She squinted a little more, and then she heard Jasper yell about them getting out of the water. Luna saw it was something heading right towards them and she pushed Octavia out of the way as the thing latched on to Luna. She held her breath as best as she could and the thing pulled her down by her leg. As it shook her under the water, it threw her up and she landed on a bank. She landed painfully on her side and she knew that her ribs were broken when she felt like crying when she breathed. Luna's leg was badly cut and she was loosing blood fast. As she everything started to go black, she saw a person with heavy clothes walking towards her and she couldn't help but think she was already dead as everything went black.
