I woke with a start; finding myself sprawled on a bench on the side of the road. Groaning as I picked myself off the bench, I sat up to notice that it was still night in Konoha - the village of my birth. The crickets were chirping peacefully, seemingly unknowing of the events that just played in front of them just this passed hour. The crescent moon peeked at me through its foggy cloud cover, as if it was laughing at me after what just happened.
Gasping as I realized what I should be doing, I got to my feet and ran around the village in desperate attempts to find him. Any trace would have left my fruitless search satisfied, but there wasn’t a hint of him around - not even so much as a breath hanging on the air that told me vaguely where he was. Tears began to stream down my eyes the longer I searched - even though I didn’t want to admit that he had, indeed, left the village, my mind couldn’t help but keep repeating over and over again to stop running around and just go home.
Standing by the large gates that led to Konoha, I panted with my hands on my knees from all that running. I sniffled as I wiped my eyes with the back of my hand so I could get a better look around me but... even then I couldn’t see him.
"Sasuke-kun!! Sasuke-kun!!" I shouted cupping my hands around my mouth, but the only response I got was my own echo. I sunk to my knees and sobbed long and loud, not even trying to stop them, "Please... please come back...! We need you here...
I need you here...!!" I wept much harder than I was already as I poured out my sadness to the empty, quiet night. I didn’t care who heard me... I didn’t care who got angry with me... all I could find myself caring about was getting rid of that scar that appeared on my heart the moment Sasuke-kun left...

Sitting in my room I looked out at the night sky, with the crescent moon hanging in the sky... it was a fine night - but it was one that made me very nostalgic. Every time I gazed out on such a sky, it always managed to wipe any smile I might have had on my face. Usually I would just close the curtains and refuse to look at the sky, but tonight I wanted to face the night sky where my whole world turned upside down.
Besides, it was three years since that day happened - I couldn’t keep crying about it.
I was a better person now, I didn’t need Sasuke-kun anymore. Although, a part of me has to admit that every time he was mentioned I would get downright glum. Still, it was better than breaking down and crying like I did three years ago. It was my resolve to bring him back - no tears this time, but with the brute force I inherited from my sensei, the Fifth Hokage Tsunade-sama. This time... this time... Sasuke-kun will come back to the village; I can feel it.
It was then that something caught my eye. Opening the window to get a better look at what it was, I noticed that it was a hawk; but not just any hawk, as it had something attached to its talon. The bird was heading straight for Tsunade-sama’s office; and out of curiosity, I followed it. Leaping from my window, I headed right behind the bird and soon found myself just outside Tsunade-sama’s office when I heard Tsunade-sama yelling. It wasn’t her usually angry yelling, it was more like a scream someone makes out of indignation. I tore open the door and noticed that she opened the scroll that was attached to the bird’s talon and she seemed to be gazing at it whatever was written on it with horror. Shizune, her attendant, was also very shocked seeing as she was nearly strangling Tonton who was in her arms.
"Tsunade-sama, what’s wrong?" I asked as I stepped further into the room.
"It’s...," The Fifth Hokage whispered, slowly turning her attention up at me with pure surprise, "...I believe it’s an... ultimatum...," My eyes widened at this news.
