Sometimes when it seems nothing can get worse, everything does.
For example after world war 3 happened nobody thought it could get worse. Millions were dead, the government was practically gone, and their was NO internet, cars, or electricity. It was all wiped off the the face of the planet by Russia when they decided to launch an EMP attack on the entire world except for a few places in Africa and Asia(so I've heard)making communication impossible.
So when people started spreading rumors saying that the things in the bedtime story's our parents use to tell us we're true I didn't believe any of them. The people like me, well we just thought that they were thinking that way because of the EMP attack, maybe the bombs leaked some toxic gas that made them think different than before. We didn't know what the real cause of them acting like that was from. We knew that those type of things were only in story books. So we never thought twice about what they were telling us.
Until strange things started to happen. People would go missing, or show up mauled to death by who knows what since their were practically no more animals left. Some would show up dead with no blood, which made some people like me think that maybe the things in those fairytale books and bedtime stories were real. When the real mahan started was when the people doing all these horrid things took over our government, not that their was much of one left. When nobody really knows who or the better question is what these people were, is what made people start to see that our society was ruined. We no longer had the upper hand. We were the mice while these people taking over were the lions.
And now, we are at the bottom of the food chain.
