The next morning I got up, and then it hit me. DEX. He hates wonderboy! I mean, Fitz. He's always had a crush on me and known I had a crush on Fitz. But he didn't know Fitz liked me! He's gonna freak out! But I can't keep it from him. No, I won't. And it's not like me and Fitz will be able to act normal at school anyway. I'll just have to tell him. Once I got there I saw Fitz by my locker waiting for me. Aww he's so cute just standing there waiting for me. I thought. I approach him and his face lights up. "Hi Sophie!" He said with a big smile on his face. "Hi Fitz!" I said mimicking his cheerfulness. "Sorry, I'm just excited to see you." He blushed. "Aww I'm happy too." I said. He looked around then when nobody was looking he kissed me on the cheek. Then left for his first class. "Hey Foster." A voice said from behind me. KEEFE. Did he see that? I knew it was him because he's the only one who calls me "Foster" and it gets pretty annoying. "Keefe! How long have you been there?" I said worried he saw the kiss. "Just now." He said. "Why? Did you do something embarrassing?" He said with his signature smirk. "No!" I said a little too loud. "Okay, okay. Yeesh" he said surrendering. "Sorry." I said "It's okay. I just need to ask you something." He said fiddling with his fingers. I've never seen him do that.. Is he nervous?? What is he gonna ask me?? "Okay." I replied. "Um. Well. Will, YouGoToTheDanceWithme?" He said so fast I could barely understand him. My jaw dropped. I couldn't believe this. How can I go with him when I'm dating Fitz? And why would he ask me? Wait wait wait. Does he. LIKE ME? oh you've got to be kidding me. This can't be happening. Not today. Not now! It's okay, I got this. "Oh. I'd love to but, I'm already going with Fitz." I said assuming we were going together. "Fitz asked you? But he told me to ask you!" He said with an angry look on his face. "Wait what?! When?!" I said so confused I thought my head was gonna blow. But I could tell the same was with him. "3 days ago." Ohhhhhhhh. I thought. That was before.. Well, ya know. "Well he didn't ask me... We're sort of.. Dating." I said nervously. "What? Then why'd he tell me to ask you?" He said madly. "This all happened last night, when I went to his house." I said. "Oh. Well, good for you guys. Hope you're happy together." He said really disappointed. "I'm sorry Keefe." "For what? You like him, he likes you. That's how it should be, not any other way." He said so sadly I wanted to cry. "Bye Sophie." He said as he walked away. Wait did he just call me Sophie? Wow, I guess he does care..
