A/N: OMG A REAL CHAPTER ON THIS BOOK! Also, THANK YOU GUYS FOR 100 READS!

I worked alongside Mabel, at the register. It was boring, but Mabel kept me entertained. The silence between us was becoming abnormal and made me feel uneasy for a second because she was so outgoing. I looked at her and realized she was thinking of what to say.
"So, Mia, you've been here for a few days..." She said.
"Yeah, and?" I said waiting for her response.
"Do you like anyone?" She said and raised her eyebrows. I gave a faint blush that wasn't noticeable. I was on the verge of turning bright red, but I had to control it as best as I can. Instead, a small amount of light pink filled my cheeks. I felt like she was staring into my soul as she waited for my answer.
"No! Ew, boys have cooties!" I thought of the weirdest answer possible so she would believe my might-possibly-be lie. I wasn't entirely sure. I was trying not to laugh at myself. Cooties?! I don't believe in cooties. Cooties existed in the second grade, not in the soon-to-be-eighth grade.
"Oh, well, that's okay. I'm sure there's SOMEONE who likes you and you don't even know it!" She said.
"You think?" I asked.
"I know! All the boys ignore me or give me weird looks, but I know that they only do that because their super into me! They might also be into you if they seem to care a whole lot about you, comfort you, and get a little shy and nervous around you." She informed me. Her voice was giddy and excited for reason. A blush began to creep up my cheeks again.
"I have to use the restroom." I dumbly blurted out in the vocal volume of a public announcement.
"Okay, come right back. Dipper is almost done showing them all the weird stuff, so the gift shop will be packed with customers soon." She said. I merely nodded and ran off the the restroom. I went to the sink and splashed myself with some water. What's wrong with me? Oh, I know. I think I like Dipper but he probably doesn't feel the same, I'm still not sure about my feelings, I'm confused, I'm scared of Bill, and I'm worried about having another nightmare. Yet, still I yearn to be here. Here in the Mystery Shack, with a yellow triangle after me, and confused feelings. It's exciting, somewhat. Even if it's scary.
"Get yourself together, Mia." I whispered sharply. I carefully splashed my face two more time, being careful of my makeup, then patted my face dry from the water I splashed on it. I tugged at the ankles of my jeans to pull them down. They had risen up when I ran up to here. I slowly walked out of the bathroom, then shut the door. I looked down at the stairs, then prepared to get back down their to finish my work.
