Chapter 24

Lily's pov

The sight before my eyes was just wonderful. My dad was finishing up on the barbecue and they were setting up the table and in the middle of the table was all this other food. Then right in front of me was a banner that said 'Welcome Home Lily' then underneath the banner was Leo holding a small bouquet of daisies. I smiled and walked over to Leo. I gave him a hug and kissed the top of my head.

"Thank you. This is amazing." I said in awe. He smiled.

"It was a group effort but we all made it look nice. " I smiled and we head over to the table. My mother took the daisies and left inside the house. We sat down opposite of my brothers who were smiling at me. When they visited me in the hospital they flipped out. Caleb crushed me in a hug then apologized because it still hurt a lot at that point. Eli was going off on when I get back how I was on house arrest for the rest of my life. I know he won't do that but hey it was funny to watch. My dad sets down two big plates of steaks and ribs. I smile at him in a thank you way and he nods with a goofy grin. Leo helps dish up some of my favorite food and hands me my plate. I look around the table and it was mom, dad, Eli, Caleb, David, Serena, Luke, Thea, Axel, and Leo but no Ashton or Ravenna.

"Hey guys where are Ashton and Ravenna?" I asked curiously.

"Oh they decided to eat out and well alone." Caleb said while wiggling his eyebrows. I laughed at his behavior and started eating the potato salad. I felt a tap on my shoulder and I turn towards Leo and the next thing I know there are mashed potatoes were on my nose and Leo was laughing along with everyone else. I let out a small chuckle and wipe it off my nose. I lean in close to his ear.

"Hey babe?" I said with a small smile. He hummed in response.

"Revenge is coming in your future." I heard him gulp and I smile. I start eating again and everything else was nice. We laughed at many things and soon I notice we were done with lunch and we all start cleaning up. Of course they only allowed me to help with the small stuff. I growled a little when they told me that but I couldn't change their minds so I stuck with what I got. I help the girls wash and dry the dishes and the boys were cleaning up outside. Serena put things away, I had drying duty and my mom washed.

"So Lily how are you feeling?" I really wished people would stop asking me that.

"Fine, same answer the last time you asked." I said kinda board. She looked kinda concerned yet angry.

"What's up with you?"

"I'm sorry Serena, it's just I get that question about every hour. I know you are all concerned but that doesn't mean you should always ask me if I am okay." They looked at me with small smiles.

"Lily we just want to make sure your okay but if you hate it that much then we'll stop." Serena said with a smile.

"Thanks." I said with a smile. I walk back over to the counter and start drying some more dishes. We soon finish up and we head out to the living room. We sit down and just as we do the guys walk in. Leo walks over to me, David walks over to Serena and Dad walks over to my mom. I look at Eli and Caleb as they just sit down and I believe it's time for them to get their mates.

"Are you guys looking for your mates?" I ask them. They look at each other then at me.

"Well I have but I don't know about Caleb." Eli said smiling at Caleb.

"I will find her when the fate allows it. Until then I am just waiting." Leo chuckled.

"Your missing out."

"I agree. Having a mate is the best thing in the world." David said then pecked Serena on the cheek. They both roll their eyes and I roll mine. Stupid brothers. I stand up and Leo is by my side.

"Come on I am just going to the kitchen." I said with an annoyed tone. He sighed and nodded. I smiled and went to the kitchen and got a glass to get some water in. I felt some pain in my abdomen but it wasn't time for any pain killers yet. I fill the glass up and as I am walking back the pain slowly starts getting worse but I bite my tongue and kept a smile on my face. I sit back down by Leo, he puts his arm around me and pulls me close. I put my head on his shoulder and they turn on the tv and we put it on Family Feud. About an hour into the small marathon there was a knock on the door. I get up and no stops me but Leo was watching me intensely. I open the door to see a man I haven't seen for a long time.

"Shane!" I said with a big smile. He gives me a giant hug and walks in carrying me. He spins me around and I laugh. I hear a growl and soon I am ripped out of his grip and into Leo's. I roll my eyes and Shane laughs.

"So I see you found your mate huh, Flower." He said with a chuckle. At this point Leo is both confused and mad.

"Shane what are you doing touching the beta female." Leo growled. It was my turn to be confused.

"Leo how do you know my cousin Shane?" He looked shocked.

"Shane is your cousin." He said confused. I nodded and he looked at Shane and Shane nodded.

"One of the best warriors in the pack is your cousin. Why did you never tell me?" He said looking at me and Shane. This is going to be a long night.
