Chapter 37

Lilly's pov

"Damien you can't fight Leo. He's a Beta. Your a third. He will beat you." I hissed at him. He chuckled as he held me to the wall.

"Where do you think I have been since I got out of that coma? I have been training hardcore. I have plans on winning this fight no matter what."  He said releasing me.

"Damien your insane. You rejected me remember. You had your chance and you lost it." I snapped.

"I was a kid then. I thought that you were nothing because you had no rank. Your mine forever and always." Damien said gently.

"No Damien. Ever since you found out my rank you thought I might just be worth a lifetime. You don't care about me. You care about reputation." I said angrily. He looked at me with shock and anger.

"That is not true. I lo-" I cut him off.

"No!" I said sharply. "You do not love me. You love the fact that our pups could be powerful. You love the fact that it would boost your status. Just like in school. You never thought about any ones feelings unless it boosted your status. You'll only ever love yourself. Nothing else." I ended strongly. He stalked towards me angrily.

"Watch your tone Lily. I'm still your superior." Before I could say anything a voice I recognized well interjected.

"I suggest you watch yours. She is your superior. She is my Fianceé." Leo said sternly. Damien looked at us both in rage.

"Your getting married to him?!" He asked me outraged. I no longer flinched at his harsh voice.

"Yes because unlike you he loves me for who I am and not my status." I said calmly. He growled before tackling Leo. Unlucky for him Leo saw it coming. Leo blocked his tackle by moving. Leo ran out of the house knowing Damien would follow. I follow them out to see that they had both shifted and were fighting harshly. I notice people coming out to watch but these people were humans. 

Backyard! People are watching!

I mind linked Leo. He ran as Damien chased him. The people looked at me with fear in their eyes.

"It's alright. They are just my dogs. A rare breed." I said to them. They all nodded before going back into the house. I closed the door and ran to the backyard only to see Damien had him pinned. I did the only thing I could do. I ran and shifted in mid air only to tackle him. He growled at me as if to tell me not to interfere anymore before going after Leo again. Although I knew what he was planning. He was gonna take submission only to attack Damien when his back is turned. Leo didn't use strength but he did use strategy. Damien lunged for Leo's neck which shocked us all. Before I could move Leo dodged it by kicking Damien off with his front paw. Surprisingly Damien was kicked hard enough that he landed into a tree hard. Leo got up and started to walk over to me but he didn't see Damien getting up and ready to pounce on him. I jumped over Leo and onto Damien. I tackled him to the ground before growling at him. Since I wasn't apart of Leo's pack yet I could still mind link Damien.

Stop this maddness now!

He only growled in response. He shoved me off gently before pushing my aside and attacking Leo once again. Leo was caught offgaurd and it seemed that Damien was winning. I growled loudly. No one would listen. I heard Leo yelp as Damien bit his shoulder hard. Then his words resonated in my head. I have plans on winnning this fight no matter what. That scared the hell out of me. Just as he was ready to make a killer swipe I rush to them and bite his paw hard enough that I heard a crunch. He yelped loudly and glared at me.

Lily your not suppose to interfere with this. Knock it off!

He said angrily. I shook my head.
