Harry arrived to his desk exactly at eight fifty-nine. Louis was already there, as usual, so Harry entered his office to give him his freshly brewed tea and the bad news.

"Good morning, Harry," Louis received his tea.

"Hi," Harry replied, but he didn't leave, "Louis, there's been a... situation,"

"If my assistants are as good as everyone say, then I'm sure they will manage," Louis replied and had a sip of tea.

"The thing is," Harry said, "Liam is hospitalized for a case of appendicitis,"

This time, Louis had no words, "What? How?"

"His sister just called me. Liam's flatmate took him to the hospital late last night because he had a very high fever; turned out to be appendicitis. They say his immune system was too weak after the flu he had, so that's why," Harry explained.

Louis nodded, and kept quiet for a while. "Get Liam for me," he told Harry with a nod at the desk phone's direction.

Harry took the phone and dialed the hospital's number, then the extension to Liam's room. He had gotten very good at memorizing numbers fast.

Liam's sister answered the phone.

"Hello. Louis Tomlinson would like to speak to Liam, if he will,"

When she told him Liam was able to talk, Harry handed Louis the phone.

"Liam, hello," Louis greeted with a warm tone. "No, don't speak, you don't sound very good," Louis smiled and continued.

"I just want to say how sorry I am, and to wish you to get well soon. Take all the time off you need in order to recover. And I will send someone from human resources so they can manage all the paper work with the insurance, okay?" Louis said,

After a breve pause he spoke again, "You're a strong lad, you will be in your feet in no time. As for now, rest. That's an order." Louis chuckled. "Alright, see you soon,"

Louis sighed when he hung up. "Do you know the approximate recovery time?" he asked Harry.

"His sister told me that the doctors had said at least ten days," Harry replied.

Louis went into deep thought. "Okay, send Liam a floral arrangement; he likes sunflowers," Harry nodded, "Tell Sarah from HR to be in charge of Liam's case and to do all the paperwork. And clear my agenda at four so I can pay Liam a visit,"

"So I'll move your meeting with the directors of the departments at three,"

"Yes, do that," Louis nodded.

"Is there anything else I can do for you?" Harry asked.

Louis sat back, "Yes. I need you to come to Paris,"

Harry almost chocked on air, "Paris?"

"Yes. It is next week and Liam will still be incapable of going,"

"But," Harry hesitated, "But Liam..."

"His health is far more important," Louis drank from his tea. "But if you don't want to go, let me know now so I can hire someone that does,"

"No, I'll go," Harry replied. "I'll go to Paris,"

"Very well then," Louis nodded with a small smile, "That's all,"
